I don't really have any answers myself. Per Sampson at II, The staff really liked him as a DE. They had some questions about his hands but not his athleticism. He graded out well in terms of power and explosiveness. He was a touch shorter than expected but nothing major. The interesting part is Williams dad told II that they were would be offered a scholarship if they came to the camp.

Wanted to put my words in a different post. The only thing I can think of is that with us losing Vanderdoes and having to bring in more Dlineman this year maybe that means we have to be pickier with 2015 schollies. Also, IIRC we didn't offer any 2015 kids at camp. Most were told that we'll be letting them know in the coming weeks.

You know that could easily be it. Someone could be told come to camp for a scholarship offer. And the staffer could have an idea that the staff would discuss all attendees and then privately reach out to those they wanted to offer. Where a parent or attendee hearing that might think just showing up would mean an offer would be waiting.

This is probably the way most schools, especially SEC schools do it. Of course they have the luxury of gray-shirting or rescinding offers, and ND does not . . .
