Wish he would have given us more of a chance because i really like this kid. The spread might have hurt us since he considers himself more of a Pro Style QB but best of luck to him

Georgia per ESPN.

National quarterback recruit Christian LeMay (Matthews, N.C./Butler) named the Georgia Bulldogs as his "leader" Friday during a 6:30 PM press conference at his parents' church, the Champion Christian Center.
LeMay, who deliberately chose not to use the term "commit", plans to graduate from high school in December and enroll early.
He picked Georgia over Auburn, Clemson, Notre Dame and Texas A&M. Other programs including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami-FL, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Virginia Tech were previously in the mix.
Arizona State, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina State and Michigan among others also offered the ESPNU 150 Watch List signal-caller.
LeMay completed 170 of 248 attempts (68.5 percent) for 3,296 yards, 44 touchdowns and just two interceptions last fall.

Georgia a good fit for LeMay

Under Armour All-America QB Christian LeMay tabs Georgia Bulldogs - ESPN

The arms race continues in the SEC. The Georgia Bulldogs landed Under Armour All-America QB Christian LeMay (Mint Hill, N.C./Butler) on Wednesday night, answering the Florida Gators, who earlier this month scored a commit from UA All-America QB Jeff Driskel. LeMay, who plans to enroll early, chose the Bulldogs over Notre Dame, Clemson, Texas A&M and Auburn.

LeMay has said all along he was looking for a school that runs more of a pro-style offense as opposed to a spread offense. After seeing the success of former Georgia QB Matthew Stafford, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft, and talking with coach Mark Richt and other coaches, LeMay decided this offense was the best fit. It's not that LeMay couldn't have played in a spread -- he has the athleticism to fit in just about any offense and offers scheme versatility to any coaching staff -- but the pro-style offense fits his skills the best.<!-- end free preview text -->

QB Christian LeMay selects Georgia Bulldogs (updated) | AJC College Sports Recruiting

6:43 pm April 30, 2010, by Chip Towers

Pineville, N.C. – With Ray Charles‘ famous ballad “Georgia” playing in the background, Christian LeMay announced that he intends to become a Bulldog.

The Matthews, N.C., quarterback chose the Georgia Bulldogs over a final three that included Clemson and Texas A&M. Notre Dame and Auburn were among the final five of about 35 major-college offers.
“It just pretty much fit everything I want to do and hopefully they’ll help propel me to the next level,” LeMay said shortly after putting a Georgia cap on. “They said they want me to come and compete and that’s what I’m going to do.”
LeMay pointed out to the standing-room-only crowd that he was wearing an orange shirt and asked how many Clemson Tigers there were “in the house.” A few folks clapped and he laughed before pulling out a Butler Bulldogs hat. Then the music was cued as he pulled out the Georgia cap and put it on to hardy applause. The Butler High School cheerleaders followed the announcement with a UGA cheer. …
