According to Steve Hare, Irish Illustrated, RB Justice Hayes has an Irish offer and will visit campus next month.

Wonder when he is going to get some test scores or even take some tests. 2.9 GPA isnt looking to hot to get into ND. Kids got talent though just looking at the video and his times, if accurate.

Louis Nix - 2.5
Kendall Moore - 2.9

Let's give the kid the benefit of the doubt for now

A 2.9 core GPA is fine to get an athletic scholarship t Notre Dame. ND Admissions does not have a "drop dead" GPA nor Test Score. Those are two of several parameters they look at.

Students seeking academic scholarship usually take ACTs/SATs in their Junior year. Athletes frequently take their exams much later.

This is a major area of get for the irish in 2011. I would say a pure HB and a DE would be the biggest needs for this class.

Before his Jr Day visit he reported a Top 5 of Iowa, Michigan MSU, Northwestern, and ND.

He'd like to make a decision early in his season. He has a 20 ACT score to go with his 2.9 GPA. He plans to retake the ACT.

He LOVED his visit to ND, and says he has them as one of his favorites after his visit. Also says his mom is big on academics and loves ND's mix of academics and football, and loved what ND folks told her about academics. He said Coach Martin was with him almost the entire day.

Sounds like ND made him a priority...

Michigan State scheduled to host some of the state's best at spring game

BY MATT DORSEY FREE PRESS SPECIAL WRITER

Grand Blanc running back Justice Hayes also plans to check out the game. Hayes, who SpartanMag.com ranks the third-best recruit in the state, recently narrowed down the list of schools he is considering to seven. Hayes is focused on MSU, Michigan, Iowa, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Wisconsin, all of which have offered him a scholarship.

Cut his list to 6:

Michigan State
Michigan
Notre Dame
Tennessee
Iowa
Northwestern

Mich St was his childhood favorite, and while he claims no favorites right now, they seem to be the leader. He loves Kell's offense and has a good relationship with the ND coaches. The Michigan coach recruiting him has known him since childhood, and guaranteed him that he'd see the field in his 1st 2 years there. And Hayes is big on early playing time. He told Scout that he would be at either ND's spring game or Northwestern's today...

has this kid fallen off the radar?

He's been very quiet since the last time he talked to a major recruiting service, which was about 3 weeks ago. But he did just talk to rivals, and he said that he's looking to trim that list of six in the coming weeks.

I don't recall who showed and who didn't for the spring game, was Hayes present for the ND spring game?

No, I don't think he made it to ours...

Can hear it coming out of Hayden's mouth now, "and there's Hayes serving up a little Justice"
