Found another ESPN article on Teo, mentions that he is visiting BYU this weekend. ESPN thinks it is down to BYU and SC, but we will all found out at once on NSD i think. Also talks about possible decommittments, one being Pollard. Link below.

I read in an interview somewhere that he wanted to advise all those who were not getting his services before NSD, but that he wanted to keep it a surprise for the team he will sign with. Not sure that's possible, but that's what he said. If I can find the article, I'll come back and link it.
We won't really know until NSD, IMO.

From everything that we are hearing, it's down to BYU and ND. (UCLA and USC *seem* to not be in the top2)

Fantastic to even be in the hunt for this stud; I'm trying not to get my hopes up because it'll be a HUGE let down when he chooses BYU...

As the days go by, I just feel more confident with this kid. BYU is a huge threat. Though I read in the SBT that Lemming said it was down 2 us and USC and he hasn't even officially visited SC yet...I'm just feeling good vibes. If we get Manti, I will take a lap around my street with just my boxers on and poor beer on my head!! The only other time I've ever done that is when ND came back against MSU a few years ago...Coincidently my neighbors are all MSU fans!! Ha.

If Manti's as religiious as he says, he won't go to USC. Too much of a fast life for a kid like that.
BYU maybe, but, I think ND has a good shot at him. His parents, or father was on campus and maybe getting the final info from CW about his son's Mormon mission.

Though it would be nice to get Teo, what we really need is defensive lineman. We have 3 linebackers in this years class and I believe we had 3 or 4 from last year. Currently we have about 10 or 11 linebackers which is way more than what we need. Defensive lineman CHUCK......DO I NEED TO SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU OR WHAT? Wont win many games without a pass rush.

Because for the most part Dlinemen aren't the brightest tools in the shed. They consistently score lower on the Wonderlic test. So many of the top guys can't sniff ND, and vice-versa. We can get the Michael Floyds but we'll never get the Warren Sapps. You think Alabama's Dlinemen last year could have been accepted by ND? You know, the ones that weren't arrested or kicked out of school. Maybe one, but not many and definitely not all of them. Same thing with this year's class at Bama. We can try and get one or 2 (MAYBE), while Bama can go after them all. Longer odds...

Like i said all along, Manti really loves Notre Dame, its campus, tradition, education, football, and even Coach Charlie.
I would streak the freaking Coliseum if Manti goes to USC.

His dad wanted to see campus since only Manti was there...word is that the family is getting to feel more comfortable with ND. Not saying that we are leading, only the Te'o family knows that or not.
But the visits help.

hopefully horrible...and i hope he caught that piss poor attitude pete carroll showed after his glory boy qb decided to invest in his future and be a top ten pick and not worry about usc or thier title hopes for next year.

It's true, it's not a rumor. He said it in an interview with one of the bigger sites. He said how much he loved the campus and that when they took him in the stadium, he went into the end zone and made a snow angel.
Mr Te'o has not lost his sense of fun as an adult...pretty cool stuff!
