Wow, he seems like a bright kid. I hadn't seen anything on his academics till now. I hope ND starts showing some real interest but I believe they only will if they start getting bad vibes from Butler, Baldwin, and Floyd.

Morgan Carter currently holds offers only from UConn, Rutgers, and possibly Michigan State. That is likely to change with last week's Elite Combine showing. He is considered to be a very raw talent who could play a lot of different positions, although he is being primarily recruited as a WR.

Ron Powlus visited Carter at his school yesterday, and apparently told Carter's coach that ND would like to see Morgan at a ND camp this summer, something that Carter was apparently hoping to do anyway. ND may not offer Carter, if at all, until after camp, and Carter seems to have no problem with that. According to a message board poster, Carter ran a 4.51 40 at a OSU camp last summer, and recently matched that at his High School. Reading between the lines, Carter seems to have a lot of interest in ND.

Only projected to take 2 or 3 receivers this year, the Irish coaching staff are more than likely waiting on a better read from Butler, Baldwin, and Floyd before offering Morgan who is still showing what seems to be genuine interest in Notre Dame.

Morgan lists academics, community, and the football program among his top factors in making a decision, placing a strong emphasis on community and atmosphere. Having visited during the North Carolina game last year and on Junior Day this year, Morgan says Notre Dame has these.

Watch out for Morgan to receive an offer pending a decision from Butler, Floyd, or Baldwin or an outstanding performance at Notre Dame's camp on June 2nd.

this kids list of schools has no powerhouse programs on it.i guess that will probaly change after more evaluation, but 4.51 speed is good,we need 4.4 or better if possible?

Floyd only has 4.5 40 speed. Although I do think that Morgan Carter is a plan B, or C option.

Morgan is definitely a plan B unless he really shows up at the Notre Dame camp in June. Morgan plays at a few different positions, if he can focus on and improve his skills at Wide Receiver, maybe he will impress the coaches enough to nab an offer.

Seems like a real bright kid that knows there is more to life than football. Also looks like a great athlete.

Dwayne Jarrett was drafted 45th overall in the draft after coming out early. Had he stayed another year, he would have broken USC and Pac 10 records for TD receptions. If Morgan Carter can even get close to Jarrett's success he'll be a great college WR.

I'm kinda sick of hearing about this guy. Sure he's a great kid and all but he's not at the talent level of other guys that are still on the board. He doesn't play receiver for his HS team and he runs a 4.7 forty. Yeah, Dwayne Jarrett was slow too but he's no where near that good. IMHO he will not even sniff an offer this year.

He's tall and athletic and very smart. But, I think you might be right. We seem to have a couple of guys like that already with Parris and Goodman. Unless he really impresses at camp and/or blows up his senior season, I think ND holds out for their top guys.
