A.J. was listed as a Top 30 prospect in the Class of 2008 by Rivals in their recently released recruiting yearbook.

I know it's against weak competition but those are some of the most acrobatic catches I've ever seen. His hand eye coordination is insane.

I know he's a Georgia verbal but I hope Charlie doesn't give up on trying to get this kid. Signing day isn't for another year.

Green Not Firm With Georgia Commentment
By Phil Kornblut
Junior WR A.J. Green (6-4 192) of Summerville no longer is solidly committed to Georgia according to a source familiar with Green's thinking. Green announced a commitment to Georgia last October, but according to the source, Green has been telling close friends he no longer is strong with that commitment. "He's saying he doesn't want to go to Georgia to be a decoy," the source said. Green has told some close to him that he feels Georgia's offense is more run oriented and as a receiver he would not be used to his full potential. He's also concerned about the lack of receivers Georgia has sent to the NFL. Green is regarded as one of the top players nationally in the junior class. USC, Clemson, LSU and Notre Dame are some of the other programs strongly involved.

with ND recent history of putting WR on the professional stage, we should keep bringing in the best talent the country has to offer.
...having JC doesn't hurt either

ND should land 2 out of the top 5 or 6 WR next year

I bet he ends up at USC, they didn't bring in a very strong WR calss this year, and he could go out there and have the chance to get some early PT.

He's the #1 player in the '08 class at the moment and I don't buy this ND will only take 2 WR's in the next class because there was plenty of talk of having a big WR class in '07 but after Benn decommited from his silent verbal they decided to go with just the 2 in Kamara and Little.

Defense is the focus and if they get what they need there I highly doubt Coach Weis will turn away getting 3 or 4 elite WR's.

He might end up at either USC but the one mentioned in the article is U of S. Carolina. Kornblut writes for PalmettoSports.com which is SC oriented. SC is also Green's state.
