Not at all, it shows that open-minded, well-informed, and not affected by one-sided propaganda arguments in favor of unregulated, open-air narcotics markets.
Ummm yeah. I was in bands for almost 2 decades and while drugs were never my thing, during that time I met a lot of people who are now dead and or have gone through rehab multiple times due to opioid abuse. Opioids in all forms (legal or otherwise) have always been pretty easy to get based on my experience. Even during the peak of the “drug war”.

Also based on what I’ve seen the recent resurgence in heroin and fentanyl use is a direct result of the over prescription and the higher cost of legal opioids not “open air drug markets”.

Once everyone who got strung out on Oxy and what not could no longer afford prescription pills they turned to cheaper street heroin and fentanyl and here we sit.

It started in the 90s when Purdue created a system where doctors where incentivized to prescribe Oxycontin readily to almost anyone with any level of pain. A settlement was reach between the Sackoffs, of Purdue Pharma and civil lawsuits of patients for upwards of $5.5 billion.

John Oliver of Last Week Tonight has done a few reports on this throughout the years. It's pretty mind boggling how little Purdue gave a shit about the consequences, and how they turned small time users of painkillers for injuries into addicts.

Highly recommend Dopesick on Hulu.

I read the book when it came out. Watched the Hulu show last year. Both are very good.

I lost a cousin in East Ohio a few years ago to heroin. He'd gotten hooked on the pills first for pain after a surgery. He was 36 years old. It hits home and then some.

The specific comment was about "always" and "on-demand". It's just demonstrably false.

My favorite bands used to introduce me when I walked through the doors and afterwards we'd go party (one of them is now a VR porn studio instead of band). Having a non-addictive personality is an advantage don't you agree? Did you ever play overseas?

Couldn't find any updates tonight, we're at about 6 weeks now. Still praying for Ethan.

I'm pretty sure I saw a post on ISD saying he was found safe but there were no other details. I'll see if I can find it.

edit: here's the post, a poster says he saw the update on ndnation, you're on your own to dig something up from that cesspool.

All I found was this. Hopefully it's legit, but strange that no one was updated their stories if it's true: Found Safe

Has anyone hear how Ethan is doing?
I haven't. There was the vague post I found that Clashmore Mike referenced right above your post. I've checked every once in awhile and again just now, but I haven't found any other confirmation that he's safe. Not sure I trust that NDNation post quite frankly.

Apropos to the earlier discussion about what happened to him and the place it happened.

I don't think he had a drug problem? I believe he suffered from issues due to CTE and concussions. It's possible he got into drugs to deal with those issues, but I don't know.

Fair enough... Being slightly more precise, it was relevant to a discussion that had been ongoing to this particular thread. I'm not sure whether or not you were a previous participant however.
