    Mike Elko - Defensive Coordinator

He's done an exceptional job. He took over a program that had won 1 of 17 conference games in the last two seasons. Only 5 games total. They won 8 games overall and 5 in conference this season.

'21 IA WR Keagan Johnson (Iowa Transfer - ND Offer)

Yes, to both. It was directed at the quality of the transfers not numbers. I’m in, let’s push this thing.

'21 IA WR Keagan Johnson (Iowa Transfer - ND Offer)

If you go into the portal and grab Card, Johnson, and Fiske your football gets better.

'21 IA WR Keagan Johnson (Iowa Transfer - ND Offer)

Loy categorized this as a name that he believes ND will reach out too.

‘23 TX WR Kaleb “KK” Smith (Notre Dame Signee)

Nothing groundbreaking. I think they found one here. Looking forward to this WR class.

    2023 Transfer QB

2021 Armstrong made throws that we've seen very little of at ND over the last 10 or so years.

    2023 Transfer QB

I wish I could be a fly on the wall when Rees and Freeman discuss the various options. Talk about an insane resume from last year with a total boner of season this year. Paid no attention to UVA this year so couldn’t form much of an opinion on what went wrong

    2023 Transfer QB

There are very few guys that I'm promising the job too. So we agree on that. But, these two are not comparable skillsets.

    2023 Transfer QB

With all due respect to Tyler Buchner, what these two have actually done on a collegiate football field as passers, is not similar. Tyler Buchner, so far, has a career 57.6% comp pct. Card is 65.5%. In 2022, Card had 5 games in which he threw 5 or more passes, was never below 63%. His 2022...

    2023 Transfer QB

FWIW, he was apparently playing on a sprained ankle during the Bama game.

    2023 Transfer QB

A total hold my beer moment for Rees. We all want 2 QB classes so Rees brings in RP3 as the 2nd QB. Comical shit.

'19 MD WR Cam Hart (Notre Dame Signee)

Great news, even better timing. Getting veteran players to make these kinds of statements in short order breeds confidence.

    CFP - 2022

That's perfect. Hate those programs with a passion.

    2023 Transfer QB

Two things. 1. I think one could make a very good argument that the future is much brighter, at QB, than the present. So, most of my energy or concern would be on just that, the present. Because the calvary is one the way. 2. In general, I don't really even want them thinking that far...

    2023 Transfer QB

I go with whoever they think is the best to lead the team, right now. If that is Card then the added eligibility is a bonus. But, if it were me, I'd just be focused on who can win in 2023.

    2023 Transfer QB

I don't but it's going to be interesting to see how ND plays this. Do they go all out for a Hudson Card when there is surely more to hit the portal?

    '23 IN DE Joshua Mickens

I believe there was an offer, just doesn’t seem like one that was made public. Per Loy back when it occurred, he basically told ND he wasn't interested. Now, this was shortly after his LSU commitment and ND seemingly dragging their feet on him in the early stages of his recruitment. So...

'21 GA WR Deion Colzie (Notre Dame Signee)

Not saying he can't get back to that form but drops aside, he just wasn't the same athlete. The "extra gear" you speak of was just not there this year. Maybe there is a reason for that, but he looked tight. He looked tight turning, he looked tight making cuts, he looked tight attacking the ball.

'18 NJ QB Devin Leary (NC St. Signee)

Without knowing exactly who is/will be available, Leary has to be at or near the top of the board. Regardless of injury.
