If we lose Barnes and Bowen, I would think we'd have to look at options beyond ESP. It'll be interesting to see who, if any, DB's don't sign during the ESP. Those could quickly become the most important targets on the board.

Obvious upgrade, maybe it doesn't play out that way. But what they've actually done on a football field is obviously different. Buch might improve and maybe Card does or doesn't, for that matter. But, too this point these two aren't even remotely close.

I disagree. I think our best defenses of the last 10 years had LB's comfortable playing multiple spots. It also creates more depth within the program long term. Now is the perfect time to get film on guys doing just this.

It's been comical how poorly they've done trying to add that extra DL. The recruiting machine as a whole seems very organized, smooth, and aggressive. This, not so much.

Defensive athlete here as well. If they lose Limar, Bowen, and Hillman plays offense then Barnes becomes even more important, IMO. If you don’t land Barnes then I think it’s a sketchy situation at DB again. You just don’t have the numbers to provide much leeway for injuries or misses.
