'24 GA OL Anthonie Knapp (Notre Dame Signee)

Eh, calling Knapp "short" is a stretch (pun intended). Dude's only 6'4, but if you see him in action and in pictures, dude has CRAZY long arms. Measuring length for tackles is like measuring length for hoops players. Kevin McHale wasn't anything special at 6'9 for a PF, but the dude had an...

He may have played for those cheating POS's up north, but you never want to see this kind of stuff happen. Silver lining is that if you're going to tear anything in your knee, meniscus is likely the best case scenario. You aren't losing as much knee stability during recovery like you would an...

Is he though? Elko is certainly a very good defensive coach, but this is where Elko's defenses ranked in terms of takeaways per game during his 5 seasons: 2023: 108th 2022: 8th 2021: 66th 2020: 68th 2019: 111th Elko had 1 year where his defense forced a ton of turnovers. The rest, they were...

"Terrible" is an apt description for a team with a losing record. MSU had their skull dragged by a majority of the SEC all last year. Even Auburn blew them out of the water. Auburn lost by 21 points at home...to New Mexico State. Carolina was probably the best of those 3 all-things-considered...

While that's true, Alabama was the only team they played at home that had a winning record. So that isn't exactly saying much.

Ehh, that sounds impressive until you look at those 3 SEC teams: vs. Auburn W 27-10 (6-7) vs. Arkansas W 34-22 (4-8) vs. South Carolina W 30-17 (5-7) All three teams had losing records, and they were all quite terrible.

Yeah, the Owens loss is pretty big. Yes, they have other good backs, but Owens was the guy with probably the biggest upside and was making the most noise in the offseason. He was the top rated back in 2023, and he was the most complete back they had. Not that they're SOL, but this isn't like...

I mean, I feel like ND's is going to be pretty good too. UW's OL is kind of an inverse of us going into this year. The tackles were established, as both Rosengarten and Fautanu were quality tackles going into the season, but the interior was a question mark. For ND, the interior looks to be...

On one hand, running a HUNH offense with a lot of fast pace play can wear on your defense if you're on and off the field quickly. ...On the other hand, so can going 3 and out.

I'll take him starting with a grain of salt. USC hasn't exactly set the world on fire with OL recruiting lately.

I mean I agree, but let's be real. The past month has been a never ending parade of bad news with next to no good news to counteract it. It really is insane how bad our luck has been the past 4 weeks between the horrid recruiting news and injury reports.

Between Lambert and Knapp, you have two bonafide studs in the making at tackle. Don't know if either will be ready to roll like Alt was as a freshman. That said, I don't know if anyone thought Alt was either.

While this is true, this only works if you can avoid letting the NCAA through the ramparts. That worked for UNC. That didn't work for Michigan. The NCAA is elbow deep in this big pile of sh*t, and there's nowhere to run or hide. The evidence is beyond damning and the NCAA has no excuse to not...

This is true. Rampant cheating aside, Michigan was able to overcome multiple key departures on the OL, namely All-American Olusegun Oluwatimi at center and starting LT Ryan Hayes, and then had to overcome the injury of Zak Zinter, arguably the best player on their offense. They fielded a...

Eh, questionable. Tackle certainly is worse than we've had with Alt and Fisher. But guard to guard, this is easily the best interior we've had in years. Correll and Lugg wouldn't start on this unit, and while Patterson was good, moving him from center to guard didn't do him any favors.

Sounds like Baker is getting work at LT. Wouldn't shock me if they go with that, but who knows, that may just be the first draft and then in a few days, we could hear that Absher or Knapp are getting burn at LT.

I mean, you have to keep in mind that CFB has only had a centralized championship system for 25 years, starting with the BCS and now CFP. Before, it basically came down to different entities to name their own national champion. This is why you had situations like in 1990 when Washington and...

I mean, they're not going to get the death penalty, but they ain't keeping the accolades they achieved illegitimately the past 3 seasons. The evidence is there and if the NCAA is good at ONE THING, barely competent is probably a better word, it's hammering programs who are caught not being...
