I mean, for the most part, they were pretty darn solid most of last year. Coogan and Spindler were far from bad. Only one that that could be true is Baker, but even he played well in the bowl game against a good defensive line. Not this level but still pretty good competition.

I'm definitely worried about week 1 against what by all accounts is a very good DL. That said, it's reassuring that Knapp is outperforming Baker, who while not a great or even good LT, has experience playing that spot. I'm very intrigued by Pendleton, because ND has multiple viable options...

From everything I've heard, sounds like Coogan moved over to center and is the 2 behind Craig, so that would put Rocco as the 2nd string LG. Probably the first guard in.

From ISD, it sounds like Knapp and Pendleton were with the 1's again. I think it's safe to expect that to be the group for week 1.

I think we're past the point of trying guys out at LT. If Baker was the guy, he'd be getting all the 1 reps. Whoever it is needs all the reps they can get.
