This is just not true.
Over the last six years the overall defensive rankings for ND have been fairly consistent. In fact the two worst seasons for overall defensive stats came in 2018 and 2019.

Agree. It also brings up the question of the sports psychologist that is currently working with the football team. The one that BK had is really well known in her field and seemed to have great relationships with the team. I have no idea what the current psychology staff is like.
I felt like MF was saying something in his presser without really saying it when it came to Styles. The article doesn't show the part of the quote about Styles that stood out to me.
Shortly after receiving the Styles question MF went into a conversation about how parents put a lot of pressure...
Maybe after a certain point, but Diggs had some Did Not Play Coaches Decision in his stat bio last year.
Plus, I am not sure what your statement has to do with quoting my post indicating that maybe Tyree was holding Tyree back from moving to Slot...
I do wonder if part of the roadblock to moving Tyree to slot wasn't Tyree himself. We all know Tommy sometimes deferred too much to the player's wishes and maybe Tyree didn't want this move.
Right. Just because the basketball players got away with it doesn't mean you football players are going to get away with it. Don't be trying that stuff on Nick Saban's watch. It won't end the same.
I loved that Flyin' Illini team. They were really fun to watch. One of the more entertaining teams during that era. Four of their five starters all got some time in the NBA. Amazing they never won the tourney.
Interesting breakdown on the conferences:
SEC - 3
Big East - 3
B12 - 2 (including Texas that will be SEC)
ACC - 1
AAC - 1
WCC - 1
IVY - 1
CUSA - 1
BIG TEN - 1
MWC - 1
PAC 12 - 1
I don't remember a tourney this spread out for conference affiliation.
Even though I hate the team I picked to win it, I am the only one that picked them. I'm pleased with that.
Good luck everyone. I think this is gonna be a wild tournament.
In the end, I believe last season was a success. The Marshall, Cal, and Stanford games were absolute nightmare games for Freeman and staff. The way the team did not fold and got incrementally better as the season wore on gives me a lot of hope for the future.
Coach Freeman was a first time...
Tobias was slated to start getting a lot more play and some of the beat were saying he was going to begin starting in November. Then he went into concussion protocol for several weeks.
I knew several players that have played at X back in the 90's so I started following them back then. I love how the Big East has accepted what their identity is and are growing as a conference.
...and Marq and St John's going to OT....
Good for you for going - hope to get that chance sometime to watch that tourney in that building.
I turned that game on with about 5 minutes left in the first half. Turned it off after they showed the highlights from the first game. Georgetown is a mess.
I think IF is looking at this from the angle of how successful he became, not what his HS rankings were. I am not sure he would have been offered the big NIL money like you hear about with the high four and five star players. He may think that he would have had offers that would take him away...
