Anyone interested in joining a Togga EPL fantasy league? I've got at least 3 spots available, possibly more, depending on how flakey people are. Check it out if you are unfamiliar: https://www.playtogga.com/ Draft-style EPL fantasy. I did it last year and had a blast. PM me if you are...

I can't add much to that. Agreed on almost all points. The one exception I'd take is to Sunderland climbing into the top 10 (I'd have Stoke 10th), but that's nitpicking; who cares who finishes 10th anyway. I could see Everton finishing even higher. You have to love what Koeman did at...

Everything Soccer What a game. The era of Jurgen Klopp "heavy metal football" has begun. That fourth goal by Mane ... Wow. He is like Raheem Sterling, but with better end product. Set pieces still a huge problem for LFC though.

Everything Soccer Yes, PLEASE. I think the plan might have been to use Klavan as the defensively responsible left back, but with Sakho and Matip hurt he has had to play exclusively CB, and anyway I think we need another true fullback. £20M for Jonas Hector? If the Benteke sale goes...

A number of transfer dominoes about to fall, it looks like. Everton will use some of the Stones money to make an improved bid for Palace's Yannick Bolasie, and Palace will use the Bolasie money to make an improved bid for Benteke from Liverpool. Then I'm praying Liverpool will use the money...

Andre Ayew to West Ham. Great signing, imo. His energy on the right wing opposite Payet's skill on the left ... tasty. I was underwhelmed with WHU's off-season, until now.

I am so pumped for the new season, just from the standpoint of a general BPL fan. Man U and Man City have both made exciting signings likely to have strengthened the squads. Man U looked great in what I saw of the community shield game--that CB Bailly might be my favorite signing of them all...

Everything Soccer I don't get why he isn't bringing Kolo Toure. Is he not fit? Unless there is an injury, he should be. Not like he was on int'l duty over the summer. And he finished last season in pretty good form, generally preferred over Skrtel down the stretch.

I have heard nothing but great things about FC Cincinnati. I recall reading that Crystal Palace was blown away by their reception there. Best pre-season friendly atmosphere ever. Pardew called it "like a cup final." It sounds like they've really got something exciting going on down there.

I watched 15 or 20 minutes of an NASL game last night ... Ottawa v. Jax. It was really, really poor. Neither team could keep possession for very long, both teams were just relying on long balls ... it was pretty excruciating to watch. I was not impressed with the product from a technical...

Oh yeah, Crystal Palace has some legit talent. They had a great first half of the season last year, but they just struggled to score goals down the stretch. I know they are looking for a striker. Trying to snag Benteke from Liverpool, last I heard. Palace have some really exciting...

Lol ACamp you can't be serious. A team with as rich a history as Celtic losing to a semi-pro team with a policeman striker in a Champs League match?? There's nothing fair about calling the opprobrium an overreaction. True, there is a whole other leg to go, and Celtic still has a chance to...

Well, to be fair that comparison is really weak. The Czech league is ranked well above the Scottish Premiership. Losing to a top-tier Czech team is a far cry from losing to a semi-pro team from Gibraltar. I don't doubt that this is the worst loss in the history of Scottish soccer.

Yes. What a weird tournament. This Portugal team couldn't hold a candle to the Golden Generation runner-up team in 2004. And yet this is the team that everyone will remember. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them. Big win without their big gun CR7--who didn't really have a great...

Don't agree at all. Germany were better, but that was what everyone expected, and Italy held Germany to few clear-cut chances. Then in the second half, there were a few passages of play where they outplayed the champs. All in all a really gutty performance, especially considering they were...

Fascinating game yesterday. I am so impressed with Italy. The world champs had very few chances against that defense. But Italy were outplayed in midfield, and you can't help but wonder how it might have been different if Italy didn't have so many midfielders out. De Rossi injured, Thiago...

Amazing win. Three classy goals from Cymru. Belgium played well too but you have to take your chances. Belgium wasted too many, especially Carrasco in the first half and Lukaku in the second.
