'23 CA QB Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee Verbal)

I'm not twisting your words at all. Of course the game keeps chugging along, it's a cash cow. That doesn't mean it's not changing, and not for the better to a lot of us.

It's a symptom of what is killing it. Commodification of the sport so the MBAs can milk as much money out of college football as they possibly can. Ruining the traditions of conferences, bowl games, bands, HOME football games in marquee matchups, and more. Throw in pay for play... yeah I'd say...

The fact that he (and others allegedly) were willing to SIT OUT of the CFP for more money is WILD. I get what Cack is saying, but god this is what is killing the sport we all love.

'22 AZ CB Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame Signee)

I don't understand the inclusion of the first two picks from the 2nd round... I can only assume it's due to trades he thinks would happen in the 1st round, and is giving Atlanta and Minnesota a pick... Odd

Remember when NIL came out and we were told there would be absolutely NO pay for play?

Anyone have kids going through the recruiting process for football?

Dante is a fantastic athlete and a great kid too. Super nice after games and whatnot. His issue, and I hate to say this because I am a big supporter of kids going to their public schools, is that he stayed in Minersville. I don't think he ever got the proper development there. The coaches are...

Anyone have kids going through the recruiting process for football?

I imagine Columbia is much safer than around Temple. Literally step off the campus and there are homeless, people in drugged out stupors, and a metric FUCK TON of crime in North Philly.

Anyone have kids going through the recruiting process for football?

Dante Carr, from Minersville, loved his visit there this past year too. He's always been a big PSU fan (yuck), but they've been slow playing him. Seems now, PSU are getting more serious about him so he is looking that way again. But yeah, that's awesome man!

    2024-2025 ND Basketball Thread

Commodification of sports (especially college) is on a train that cannot be stopped. It's truly a sad thing to watch. People will argue that the best will be playing the best, and this is great. They will continue to miss the essence of college sport, and what makes March Madness a truly unique...

    2024-2025 ND Basketball Thread

Speaking of what is going on in college basketball. St. Francis (PA.) has announced they will transition all sports from D1 (FCS football) to DIII due to NIL, recruiting, and more. Announced right after they made the tournament for the first time since 1991.

    Everything Golf

Been fortunate to get out 3 times so far this year. Saturday was amazing, 83 degrees here in PA. Still winter rules, and no posting scores. But it is always good to get rounds in early.

He looks like a former basketball player deciding to play football. Don’t hate that idea really.

    The "Old Days"....

ACamp is older than me, and I was a senior in college in 2011. But he ages like a fine wine, so it's understandable.
