Great total offense response, if they can do that all day we’re in good shape

It's even worse as a father cuz you are literally powerless to do anything. At least when I'm playing I can control some things. With him, I just have to watch, good or bad.

My son has his Region golf meet on Monday. It's his one and only chance to qualify for the state tournament. He came into our room last night at midnight saying he couldn't sleep b/c he's stressing out about regions. Not sure exactly how to help him. It's akin to the olympic trials in that you...

two of the deep balls that ended in pass interference against Miami were all right on the money, as was the TD to Collins. Also the deep ball that Greathouse dropped against NIU was a beauty. Yes the interception against NIU was bad bad, but he did prove he can go deep. It’s the intermediate...

College Athletics Branding - Name Image Likeness Rules

Right, which is ultimately where the kids are getting exploited. "We can't have a written contract because pay-for-play is technically against the rules. But, you can take our word for it. Wink wink."

College Athletics Branding - Name Image Likeness Rules

Reading between the lines here, the school and its collective made no "formal" agreement, meaning there is no contract. The kid/family were operating under some sort of verbal agreement for $100k+, which is just plain dumb. I've said this time and again, there seems to be no contracts, deals...

And the truth is probably somewhere in between all of them.

I like that their strength (passing offense) is going against our strength (passing defense). They may get some yards but they won't be able to be consistent all day against our secondary. I expect at least 1 if not 2 picks from our secondary. Our offense has to play clean, again. I'm okay...

    Miami (OH) Postgame

I was just thinking about this after my last reply. Completely agree. If he was a first year starter as a freshmen or soph, I think we'd all be elated b/c "there are signs", just like you saw them with Quinn or Clausen. But completely agree, as a senior, one year merc, those throws he's missing...

    Miami (OH) Postgame

There were certainly plays that fell into that category. I'd imagine every team has those, i.e. scheme a play for one player they know will work. That said, there were a number of times you can see him check his first read, then come back to the other side and make a throw. Yes he missed some...

'25 MS QB Deuce Knight Auburn Verbal Ole Miss ???

He's a true sophomore and would have 3 years of eligibility after this year. I wouldn't be surprised, being a Manning, if he's advised to stay in school and develop for at least two more years, if not the full three. So, it wouldn't be a "faster track" to playing time at Texas.

His first punt was 65 yards in the air. That was impressive.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

I mean. If he can average nearly 300 total yards and 3 touchdowns, sure. Will he be able to do that against everyone? Maybe? But something just feels off. Long stretches of bad play. Three and outs. Very easy missed throws. Dumb turnovers. There’s just a ton of bad juju on offense right meow.
