Part of the problem with short QBs is the trajectory of that throw. A taller QB can zip it into a tight window. Pyne has to put some air underneath it. Then again, don’t fucking throw it in quadruple coverage after staring him down.

It’s a move he has to make for his own career trajectory. Makes total sense. Makes me wonder if there’s an offensive version of Al Golden that we haven’t thought about yet.

Don’t forget if TR goes, not only will MF need a new OC, he’ll need a new QB coach.

Your job as a coach is to put players in positions to succeed. Maximize their skill set in a way that complements each other. I think it’s clear that TR runs a complicated offense. Styles and Merriweather didn’t become bad at football overnight. The next OC needs to simplify the offense.

I appreciate this post so thank you. I won’t be surprised when TR is doing well in the NFL as an OC.
