'19 NJ DE RJ Oben (Duke Grad Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

JJB was a huge contributor to this defenses success. And, I don't want my post to come across as underselling him either. I just think Oben will be an upgrade, overall.

'19 NJ DE RJ Oben (Duke Grad Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

As awesome as the defense was last year. We need to get back to developing pass rushers again. I think Oben will be a upgrade. But even he is not the type of pass rusher we've had in the very recent past. Hopefully that comes from Burnham, Traore, etc. Big off-season for Washington, IMO.

'19 NJ DE RJ Oben (Duke Grad Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

JJB played at 249 in 2022 and got his weight up to 260 for this last season. And, like you said, it served him very well holding up on the edge. Oben will be coming in at 260. Played last season at 255. To me, he looks to carry weight easier. I would expect he holds up just as well in the...

'19 NJ DE RJ Oben (Duke Grad Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

As solid as JJB was this last season. RJ Oben should be an upgrade.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

It's a huge recruiting win for Freeman and staff. Whether the production matches the recruiting victory, continues to be the question for this staff.

'22 NJ QB Steven Angeli (Notre Dame Signee)

This will be a completely unfair "full" eval of Angeli. Whatever the answers will be at OL, RB, and WR for Leonard in 2024, Angeli will have virtually none of those as prepared as they will be come August.

'21 CA WR Beaux Collins (Clemson Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

And if we’re recruiting a guy to be our 4th best WR. I’d much rather have a guy that produces big plays even if a smaller part of the offense.

'21 CA WR Beaux Collins (Clemson Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Haha, Collins had 3 TD’s last year. And, he needed 12 more receptions to get 26 more yards.

'21 CA WR Beaux Collins (Clemson Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Tyree was more than solid. He was a big play threat. You can argue your subjective opinions about his wiggle and breaking tackles all you like. In his first and only full season at WR, he averaged 18yds/rec. I’d much rather have that on the roster and use a TE for what Beaux Collins does.

'21 CA WR Beaux Collins (Clemson Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Hes a solid addition. He’ll be a big body possession WR.

'21 CA WR Beaux Collins (Clemson Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

This cracks me up. For perspective, ESB had more yards, yds/rec, and TD’s in 2017 (with Wimbush at QB) than Beaux did in 2023. This commitment should hardly illicit these types of responses. Wild

'19 NJ DE Howard Cross (Notre Dame Signee)

Fired up! He’s such a good football player.

'19 OH OG Zeke Correll (Notre Dame Signee)

I think it’s fair to say this wasn’t about quitting but getting passed up by Craig. Corell gave a lot to ND and very appreciative of that.

PFF End of Season Position Rankings Offense

Yes, because starting a true Freshman who weighs 270lbs is the same as a Sophomore who weighs 307. Heistand hadn’t coached either since December 30th, 2022. If Rudolph had no responsibility to develop the depth chart or make changes to said depth chart from his predecessor then he shouldn’t...

PFF End of Season Position Rankings Offense

So, he had all of Spring ball, Fall Camp, and 9 games into the season. And, we’re going with on Nov. 4th in the second half versus Clemson was the first time he was better than Correll. Please, that logic is for dumb dumbs.

And he only found the bench through injury. Not coaches eval. Brutal look for Rudolph and Parker.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Did you bother to read the post I quoted and was responding too? It was it reference to his rushing ability.

'20 NE WR Xavier Watts (Notre Dame Man)

And more generally, don’t be opposed to being recruited as an ATH. I wonder how many guys have failed because they refused to go from WR to DB.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Yea, his bad was terrible and his good wasn’t good enough. If he could’ve been just an average passer he would’ve been amazing. It’s crazy to think about that in 2017 he had a comp pct of 50% or worse, in 9 of 12 games.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Wimbushs 2017 season was better than Leonard’s 2022.
