'23 CA WR Rico Flores (UCLA Transfer)

Chip is an odd dude. Always has been. When was the last time such a big name took a demotion without getting fired?

'25 WI OT Owen Strebig (Notre Dame Signee)

In 2020 ND signed Tosh Baker who finished the cycle, both rated and ranked higher than Strebig is currently. In 2021 ND signed Blake Fisher who finished the cycle, both, rated and ranked higher than Strebig is currently. In 2022 ND landed Aamil Wagner who at the end of the cycle was, both...

Great addition. This class will have another first round OL in it.

    All Things SkunkBear

I don't believe this is true. This would be something that The Cult wants you to believe.

    All very true.

    All Things SkunkBear

Harbaugh turned Michigan football into a cult. Nobody is capable of processing what they did as wrong or bad. And, nobody is capable of making decisions outside of what is best for the cult. Moore is just a servant of said cult. Doing his duty to serve and obey Michigan football. They're...

'25 NC S JaDon Blair (Notre Dame Signee)

Big fan here. I think we should be recruiting one S every cycle with this type of length.

    All Things SkunkBear

Harbaugh held things together. Sure, sure. Gets caught in an extremely elaborate, multi-year, cheating scandal, bolts for the NFL, and then takes virtually his entire staff with him. Leaving remaining members of the program to clean up the mess. I can see how that would look like he was...

'24 IN OT Styles Prescod (Notre Dame Signee)

He's got obvious NFL upside for a fairly underrated recruit.

'25 MS QB Deuce Knight Auburn Verbal Ole Miss ???

Young man does something for attention on social media. Young man then tells people to chill out after he gets reaction from said people on social media. Be above that Deuce.

Notre Dame Hires Loren Landow as Director of Football Performance

I believe him when he says that he’s in the collegiate game because it will allow him to have more control/time in developing the athletes. He’s in it for the right reasons. That’s a big part of it. However, up to this point he just doesn’t get me quite as hyped as Balis did. Hopefully...

'18 SC QB Sam Hartman (Notre Dame Transfer)

Sam Hartman hit 15-20 year highs, for a ND QB, in some very important QB statistics this season. Not to mention, Hartman's comp pct, yds/att, ay/a, and QB rating all improved over last season. The difference is, Leonard will have plays called by a real Offensive Coordinator. If anyone...

    Clark Lea - Defensive Coordinator

    Certainly seems out of place

Preferred outcome. He’s an edge setter.

I’ll end with this. Yes, there is more to DL play than sacks and TFL’s but those are extremely important. So important that I think most would agree a pass rusher is one of the most important players on a football team. The best pass rusher in 2023 was JJB with 5 sacks. That’s the lowest...

    Coaching Carousel

Elston didn’t coach him in 2022. The fact that Cross was less productive, on a per snap basis, in 2022 than 2021 is not the feather in Washington’s cap you think it is.

    Thank you. 75% more snaps.

    Coaching Carousel

Ha, you asked, I provided. Cross played 580 (44/game) snaps this season and Mills 510 (40/game). I don’t have the full season 2021 numbers and not going to keep looking for them but they had multiple games where they played 40 snaps, or less, combined. I’d bet snap counts for both were up...

Gladly. 2021: 4.5 TFL’s and 3 sacks 2023: 7 TFL and 2 sacks. These guys were already productive players on a per snap basis. They’re just older and playing more.

    Coaching Carousel

Mills was a true Sophomore that had 3 sacks and 3 TFL. He was a Senior who had 5.5 TFL’s and 2.5 sacks, playing significantly more snaps. Again, I love these players. Always did. Washington gets very little credit for guys who were very productive 3 years ago.
