I think they're trying to get Gray AND have Onye get the waiver, right? II doesn't think there's much of a chance that Onye will get another year, but someone posted yesterday that Singer was told that ND thinks he'll get it.
I hope the coaching staff doesn't feel that way. Unless by some miracle Onye comes back, they need 2 starter quality DT's as Mukam hasn't been anything special thus far.
They're going to probably keep trying to get Simpson to back out of the draft and tamper with some other QB's who are not in the portal currently. Cristobal is scared to death of having to develop a QB that he actually recruited.
I think they'd take either one. They're desperate and they know they can't miss out on a QB. I expect them to get Leavitt, but if they somehow don't and Simpson stays in the draft, they will throw out a stupid offer for Raiola.
Miami will likely get Leavitt. They should thank Kiffin if that ends up happening as they would have been screwed at QB for next year if Kiffin didn't dink around.
If McDonald declares for the draft, I believe both of their starters will be gone. They got John Walker from UCF, who will almost certainly start, so they're after 1 more starter (Brewu or Smith).
