I think this is the part that some might be missing. Last season was effectively JD's first at the major college level. I think he will take a huge step forward in understanding that not every play needs to be a home run. Sometimes it takes a minute for guys to understand that a 3-5 yard gain...

I mostly agree with this, but I also think that the current culture at ND could take a kid like this and mold him into a ND kind of guy. The fact that different people have ND as a true contender tells me that he isn't a 100% mercenary type of kid even though NIL is very important to him.

I do not remember which thread it was, but someone on here had statistics of what his sack percentage was per pass attempt. It was way higher that RL's - shocker - but was also higher than the national average. Maybe it was @Dale that had those stats?
