IDK - he just turned down interest from both the Giants and Steelers. Doesn't get more A-List in the NFL than that.... He likely feels a need to get the job done here and then maybe consider other jobs.

ND and Freeman's recent success has really exposed so many irrational Catholic haters in the national sports media. They never went full Yost when Kelly was in charge because I think it was clear ND wasn't ever going to win the Natty... now they are scared and revealing themselves.

I would not assume that all of these transfer portal announcements are kids chasing dollars and playing time. ND has a say in who stays and goes too.

I agree. It’s a commentary on the format regardless of year, not just this years catastrophe.

It’s just such an indictment for the CFP that the most interesting games in the afternoon and night time slots are FCS games.

Things may have cooled down a bit but Franklin big-timed the SJP staff a few times and also had a situation in the 2023/24 class where they pulled a scholarship from a SJP commit for a better prospect.

That's a wild story. We can all rag on Franklin for days but it does go to show what a good recruiter that guy is. Also, as a side note, SJP is not a big fan of Franklin or PSU right now.
