It is remarkable to see where they are when looking at where they're coming from. A historically bad franchise to a team on the cusp of perhaps a division title. I hope they go for it. They'll need some help from here, but it would be spectacular to win the division.

The question from here becomes will they attempt to build on this and go for more in 2027. It would require strengthening the team through trades and more likely free agency.

For now, they have a ticket on the train. They're in. Make the most out of it in the next month. It's been awesome.

Forgive me as I haven't really had a reason to pay attention to MLB this late in they year for a while... so if I'm not mistaken our South Siders still have a shot at a first round bye?

They do. They're one game back from Cleveland with 3 to play but the pale hose own the tiebreaker.

Need to win 1 more game than Cleveland in the next 3.

Cleveland plays KC. Sox play Colorado.

I think KC steals one. They're bad, but their top end pitching is quite good with Cameron and Wacha likely getting games 1 and 2 of this series.

The Sox meanwhile have zero business losing a single game in this series with the Rockies. They've completely phoned it in this year, and unlike the Royals, they don't really have top-end starting pitching. The best projected starter the Sox will see is tonight with Sugano with a 5.36 ERA. Behind him is our old friend Jose Quintana with a 5.40, and then Freeland with an astonishing 6.58 ERA.

Needless to say, the bats better feast these next 3 games. If you can't hit against the Rockies with a division title on the line, something is very wrong.

Congrats to both the White Sox and Guardians. Another great season of ups and downs for both but glad to see both in the postseason.

Now let’s have both make some noise in October⚾️

The AL Central Champions of 2026

Cleveland is built for this. I put them up there with Tampa and Milwaukee in terms of how to run an organization. Not just an MLB organization, a professional sports franchise.

Would have liked to have won the Division, but it's onto the postseason. Remarkable turnaround however you choose to feel about it. A historically bad team that lost 324 the three seasons prior only to win 84 games this year. It's impressive.

Do what you can in the next week or two, then tweak it up this winter and make a run for the Division in 2027.
