What's the draw here when you're already highly rated and committed? Is it to win a title or what?

Hope this doesn't hurt with that 5* LB at his NJ HS.

I'm sure other programs have stepped up as well, but going to IMG is as close to a college weightroom program and training table as a HS kid can access. Should help maximize his talent coming into ND.

This. With him skipping a year of HS, going to IMG might help smooth the transition to college.

Will be fun to compare him directly to the 5* DE going to A&M who’s now his teammate.

ISD is saying it's along these lines. He's a reclassification, and Bergen doesn't typically allow for that, but they were willing to make an exception...until it (and this is me reading the tea leaves) became clear he wanted to EE, and that basically ended the exception.

Everything good between Nd and him though, right?

I noticed this today with A'mir Sears announcing he was reclassifying to 2027. Rivals placed him at #24 overall in the '27 class immediately.

Meanwhile, Jackson Vaughn reclassified months ago, and his ranking went down from a top 20 overall player in 2028 to #269 in 2027. Because reasons. What happened to waiting and seeing how reclassified guys pan out their senior year?

What a load of crap.

He’s going to IMG to accommodate reclassifying and EE”ing?

In previous years I would have certainly thought that this move + all of the other stud DLs in the class (not to mention Igwebuike, who has a similar build) would means he’s going to flip tot the SEC.

If Vaughn ends up at ND we will know beyond a doubt that ND is all in.

Singer’s podcast said that the transfer was because of early graduation and Ee’ing

Doesn’t that mean leaving high school half way through Jr year?

I guess I get that if the kid was held back at some point, but it seems like it’s potentially a new can of worms for ND to figure out.

With Jackson Vaughn not only reclassifying and transfering to IMG so he can EE to Notre Dame, I wonder now that he's playing with his good friend and ND's need for 1 more prospect in the secondary that Phoenix Evans starts to think again about moving to the '27 class?

Your complaint is not invalid; Vaughn is criminally underrated.

I will say, that Sears was in the running for the #1 overall player in 2028. I'm not surprised he's that high even despite the reclassification.

Monds was #2 and Vaughn #19 so it's definitely a little odd.

The explanation from the on3 national guys has been that they keep their grades when they change classes and slot in based on grade. Sears was a 97 so slots in with the 97s, Monds was a 90 and slots in with them. Same with Vaughn. I understand the concept but both are criminally underrated still.

How is someone the #2 player OVERALL and only have a 90 grade??

It makes no sense. Prediction: Monds and Vaughn go nuts this year, both finish as 5 stars, and the insiders will say they got it right in the end.
I don't see how he had a 90 grade and the guys ranked right BEHIND him (Vargas and Wade) are both sitting with 96 grades currently 🤔🤔
