I think some boosters would pay a fair amount to not have a patch, just like the lack of advertising in the stadium. Maybe even just UA.

The cost of independence/being ND often just means a booster covering the costs of remaining as is.

It would be very strange to me to have a patch on our jersey before ND stadium has advertisements inside it

Maybe they can get the Vatican Bank to be the sponsor. We really wouldn’t need to add anything to the jersey. Just throw our lady on there as the sponsor patch. Really a no brainer if the church and school think about it.

I swear there's some sort of astroturf campaign happening with the jersey logo thing. Everywhere on Twitter fan accounts are saying "that kind of money would be hard to turn down" as if they're seeing this 15M hit their bank accounts.

I think they're fantasizing about the QB they could buy for $15M

IMO, start small. Do it only for the shamrock series games which are a unique jersey and experience. See what you can get. Maintains integrity of the traditional jerseys.

I’m old enough to remember when the NHL was doing it temporarily to make up for the money they lost due to Covid. Sports hold nothing sacred anymore, the odds of ND at some point selling out for the almighty dollar are extremely high. It’s the way of the world unfortunately

They can put Laughing Clown Malt Liquor on the jersey if it means we go on a run of national championships. 38 years. I'm not worried about patches on the jersey.

Mixed feelings, but you want to sign top 3 classes each year and win titles?

This is necessary. I’d rather compete for titles with a patch than have a jersey without and limping into playoffs with no real shot.

$18 - $20 million per Nakos.

So they’ve been waiting for the OSU drop to bury it for some, up them for others POV.

This goes for all sports, if you’re a brand with the only logo on a jersey (not NASCAR, soccer etc) and you do not adjust you’re color scheme to match the jersey, I think you’re incredibly lame.

They did the color thing at least
