Ugly, ugly game. Offense just did not come to play today. Second week in a row where the midfield has done virtually nothing. Angrick continues to be invisible and for the life of me I cannot understand what happened to a player who was so aggressive in the prior two seasons. Bye week is coming at a good time; hopefully they can regroup and figure some stuff out as we get to conference play and the Richmond game.
Thankfully, the defense is so unbelievably good. Michigan didn't score for the last 28 minutes of the game. Ricciardelli had what felt like the best game of his career today. At the end of the day we are #1 and I don't want to only be complaining about things, but hopefully we can tighten things up here on the offensive side.

well at least the men's team isn't chocking like the women's team has since upsetting then 3rd ranked BC
Defense is truly elite and Rico is truly getting better every week. How about Liam coaching Michigan...Gross!
Attack has been consistent and effective! First line middies can get to an elite level with a good flow/motion. Second line middies just don't offer much right now...gotta figure some things out there. Finley and Busenkell just don't have it right now. I'd like to see more of Lally and why not give the number one recruit, Faison, some time. Gotta a week off to figure it out before an insanely tough stretch of games.

BC has been losing to a lot of teams, guess they're not as good as usual this year.

Overall coverage of college lax has been an absolute joke. Pretty much every game is played at noon on Saturday, and none of them are watchable without a paid streaming device like espn+ or big ten+. Teams need to start altering their times/days and at minimum, acc, big ten, espnu need to pick the games up!

They do but not until basketball is over. All of our remaining games are on ESPNU or ACCN. Except Richmond of course. I'm hanging on to ESPN+ for another month in hope that they pick it up.
Isn't it really on ND and Richmond to figure this out before they schedule it in Evanston? Game would be on if it was in Arlotta
Good news! ACCNX and ESPN app will be streaming it! Sounds like a lot of people all speaking out was what was able to get this done, which is really cool. I will actually be at the game, but I hope a lot of people tune in!
Of course, need to beat UVA to keep it as 1v2....hopefully this Saturday is a sort of get-right game for the offense. Been a long bye week, looking forward to getting back into the swing of conference play.

Really bad gameplan and they also just individually could not handle the pressure from their poles. So many turnovers, crappy clearing, crappy shooting, crappy GBs.
Yeah, just not good at all. Second line midfield is pretty much just garbage. Finley, Busenkill, Seymour...No one really does anything. Glad to see them mix Faison in. They have to figure something out, and I believe it has to be different personnel . Pretty much every game from here on out is 50/50.

UVA has more and has played worse all year?
Yeah, they don't have any true step down shooters and they don't have anyone really working the crease for easy bunnies. They also don't have that one guy you can truly rely on when things get in a rut. They have a lot to figure out.

Hard to complain about a 4 goal win over the #1 team in the country but they only scored 4 goals over the last three quarters and zero legitimate 6v6 goals the entire 4th quarter. Two weeks in a row of the offense showing no life late in games.
To be fair, the offense was really ugly for most of the game. Dylan Faison scored his first goal today, hopefully he can give our midfield some of the firepower we’ve been missing…. Very frustrating when we go so long without getting good looks or stupidly turning the ball over.
Atmosphere at the game was really fun though, that stadium is gorgeous! Looks like we have another game against #1 on deck next week. Defense should keep us in every game, let’s see how it goes!

As someone who doesnt play lax, Is there any chance the offense was ugly b/c we were playing the number 1 team in the country? For example in football, if we play the number one team it might not look the same as when we play navy, as I assume you already know. Is this a reasonable gripe to worry about our offense against the number one team or are we being ridiculous?

The main issue is that the offense has been unproductive and shot the ball poorly for about a month, regardless of opponent. They are winning with defense + possessions. What's crazy is that they opener the game with 8 goals in like 10 minutes and then went ice cold for the remaining 50.
They only had 2 legit goals in the entire second half. One of those came from the younger Faison who they are trying to play more and more together a spark. I think the two attack besides Yago just aren't really winning their matchups enough + also aren't dynamic offball players which puts them in a bind trying to create quality shots.
