Notre Dame is the only team to reach the semifinals of this tournament each of the last three years. But it has never advanced any further since joining the Big East for the 1995-96 season, also getting eliminated in the semifinals in 2002 and 2007.

Syracuse was not a big game. It was a regular season game nobody expected ND to win. They had nothing to lose. During the regular season, I don't think there is a team that a Brey-coached ND team cannot beat. However, that all changes once we get to the postseason. From that point on, it's usually a comedy of errors in the BE semis and in the first and/or second rounds of the tourney. I know ND has exceeded expectations for the regular season. However, they consistently underwhelm in March.

Syracuse win was a fluke. They were down their 2 best guys and 1 was suspended. If they had all their guys they would have beat us like a bunch of little girls. This team will lose in the first round............AGAIN.
