Acamp,

I am so sorry, my eyes get down to Zep, and my eyes skip off the page . . . it must be all of those experimental drugs, or the spiders! I don't know if I ever told you this but I have spiders on my shoulders, that whisper in my ears and tell me what to do. AND NOW THEY ARE BURROWING UNDER MY SKIN!

What were we talking about? I feel much better now.

See, after we sing a peace song on the ice flows, under the Aurora Borealis, watching the baby polar bears, we can crank up some Dark Surprise in the Sunshine of Your love

You have to listen to this one, it was quite a crossover hit in 50!

Better lyrics? In memory of Etta James, Minesota Fats daugther, with great pipes a wonderful sense of humor, and a great pioneer:

If Louis Jordan wasn't the first Rock'n'Roll artist with Caldonia, Jackie and Ike were with Rocket 88!

Bogsy, Bogger, Pretorian Trottorian:

I humbly bow. Your arrows are both true and piercing. To this day I am amazed by the (small in some ways) body of work put out by Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton. A power trio.

I've had the pleasure of hearing Etta James at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival a number of times over the years. I'll be back there this May to celebrate our collective sixtieth birthday with a dozen or so Domer classmates.

I'll also be scattering some of my little sister's ashes there among her friends. I intend to take a moment to remember Etta as well. She was one of my favorites, as well as my sister's.

Caldonia has a long history. Great tune with a lot of room to move.

Dshans,

You are the man. When we going to have that drink?

Here is a trivia question for you and the younger set (first). I know dshans and a few other of us reasonably seasoned members know this: Two artists (other than Beatles regulars) were given credit anywhere on all the Beatles albums, under their own names. Who were they?
