I am going to go out on a limb and say that if Yuri was to commit, most all of us would be happy. Maybe harping on his mistake is the tool of choice so the let down won't be as bad if ND doesn't get him. That's just my thinking, he11, I am sure there is no one on Earth that wishes they could take those tweets back more than Yuri. That being said, we cannot undo the things in the past, we can only try and right our wrongs. I feel confident in ND's assessment of this student and if this incident is an isolated one, I think Yuri will take this life lesson & grow from it. Again, this is just my thinking, but if Yuri had a pattern of being verbally disrespectful, I would think it would have come to light before this post. Whether he ever plays a down of football for Notre Dame or not, I hope this young man gets a chance to prove that he is MUCH more than a few immature tweets. I would be willing to bet that had twitter been in use when many of us were young, and we were damn near household names, we would have posted some inappropriate stuff. I know that I sure said my fair share of it in my youth. Thankfully, it did not define me & I was able to mature and was given chances to right my wrongs. I am sure that some will hold Yuri to the fire because of this, but if those who chose this course would reflect back, I bet they have made mistakes themselves. Don't go giving me the crap that you never did anything that bad. Our Pastor preached o. This topic this morning. A SIN IS A SIN IS A SIN. It is my hope and prayer that Yuri gets a second chance to mature & where better to have that chance to grow into a fine man than the greatest university in the world NOTRE DAME.
