He got expelled?? Good lord. For tweets??

Now is the time to hop on him and let him know that we support him. And he needs to declare before schools start dropping off the map.

Lock this kid up. And let him know that we know kids make mistakes, but that s*** won't fly here.

I say we still pursue him hard.. kids make mistakes.. if we learned anything this last season, it's that Notre Dame has the structure to allow student athletes to turn their lives around (Floyd).. ND is the perfect place to shape an immature boy into a responsible man

I agree. Let him know he is coming in on conditions. If he screws up he is out.

not sure how reliable this person is, but according to him Yuri has lost all offers except for Colorado and Rutgers.

If he's expelled from high-school, that means he's not graduating from his high-school. Unless he transfers and finishes on time, I don't know how he can get accepted to ND. Suddenly, his Georgia offer might be worth something.

That's heartbreaking. I feel terrible for Yuri. I hope this doesn't prevent him from playing where he wants to.

I honestly can't believe they expelled him because of some tweets. You would think they would sit down with him and tell him to cut it out or at least warn him. I feel bad for the kid and everyone should remember he's just a kid when referring to his tweets.

That's sad! Unfortunately CB is not a position the staff can take a risk on. If we had another elite CB committed then yes give him a chance but we need reliable participants at the CB position with the lack of depth.

My brain says stay away but my heart wants to give this kid a chance!

One has to wonder whether BK and the admin even want to deal with the potential headache that would come from bringing him aboard. After the hatchet job the Chicago Tribune did on them, you have to figure they'd be a little wary of diving into the pool this soon if for no other reason than to avoid the PR issues/distractions.

Hopefully the report is false.. I would be disappointed in ND pulled his scholly (of course, you have to take into account his ability to graduate and be eligible) the whole situation just sucks..

Sign him. Again, if ALL this was about tweets (and not something deeper) than give him a shot.

Again, assuming that it was only some tastless tweets..

I'd hope they would be just as passionate about helping out a troubled kid as they would saving face from a PR standpoint.. but that's the world we live in

I agree ND needs to avoid all negative PR issues. With the spotlight always on ND I think they pass on this.

If a number of colleges have pulled his scholarships and his school has expelled him, I'm 99% sure that he's either:

A) Been warned multiple times about his twitter, or

B) There's more actions to warrant this.

I'm sure they didn't just show up to him, for the first time and say "hey, we don't like your tweets and by the way, X-number of colleges are aware and have pulled your scholarship. Shape up".

As much as I agree with your points....but the "troubled kid" has to want to be saved as well.

Let's see how much Yuri wants this....needs to transfer and finish up.

maybe its something deeper than just tweets.

Remember last year with all the unfortunate incidents no way ND takes a chance.

That's what I was thiinking....Tweets, as graphic as they are, shouldn't be enough to get you kicked outta school.

Yuri Wright has deleted his Twitter account. Very good decision by him and thanks to his coaches for listening to my suggestion.

Now I know Don Bosco is a private school so they have the ability to expel someone for something like this I imagine, but I doubt Yuri started tweeting this stuff after the football season. He just didn't get expelled until after Don Bosco was named the official #1 team in the nation.

I'm not posting this as fact, but the idea that this may have been in the minds of whoever runs that school is pretty ****ed up.

Still plan to wait for any kind of conformation of any of this...

Sorry to the Don Bosco alum on this board. Not trying to attack your school, but the thought creeped in to my mind and I thought I'd share. Again, I have no evidence that that's what happened, but it's not like we haven't seen these kinds of things before.

So, we're down to a guy that decommitted because he was pissed at us, a UF committed guy, and a slow CB that might end up at safety??

I can't believe a school would expel you for tweets, and frankly I would be lawyering up at this point. I feel bad for the kid, but while I wouldn't be surprised in this climate that schools would pull the trigger immediately, I have a suspicion that this is just one in a long list of things they consider not good behaviour.

Either there is much more to this story or Yuri effectively got expelled because some disgruntled Michigan fans put his private twitter on blast. If it's the latter that is mind blowing
