Has there been an answer as to how he can even transfer to Auburn?

I don't think the SEC suddenly decided to be ethical in 2012.. if that rule says a kid can't transfer in for a 5th year, I bet they let it slide if that 5th year guy has a 5* recruit attached to him to make their conference better.. I have no clue though to answer your question with a definitive answer, but that's my guess

I bet with Armond visiting, this could also be another reason Kelly didn't go to Darby's.

I thought USC was blocking Armond from transferring to ND. Can someone explain?

No, that's the thing no one can explain cause no one has any clue what the hell is going on. That's why we're all patiently waiting...and praying.

I don't think they can do anything about a graduated player transferring into a masters program. I have read that perhaps it has to be a program they do not offer.

Either way USC cannot do anything about it.

They can't block him. They can refuse to grant a player a release, but as Armond has graduated, they cannot stop him. More interesting to me is can Auburn bring him on? Never seemed to have a definitive answer on when exactly the "Masoli Rule" blocking 5th year transfers goes into effect.

does anyone really think we are going to get these guys. He is cal all the way and since no one really know what the limitations are on armond you have to assume, he is going to auburn or cal.. same with arik.

ND is way at the back of the line here people, what "recruiting momentum" do you think we really have. And with kids nowadays thats all they care about.

ND never had a shot, honestly, lets focus on Wright who we starting to lose to UGA and Ekanem who looks good right now for us.

im not trolling, ive been a domer since 1998 and love ND football but put aside you idealism for this one peeps. they are both gone, i have lost confidence in BK.

BRING ON THE BLUE AND GOLD GAME I NEED TO WATCH SOME IRISH FOOTBALL hopefully not suck and get bloated heads and just all around stop F-ing losing!! UGH!! god i want this team to win this season so bad.. but most likely we are going to walk into next season being the team we were last season, unfocused and unmotivated.. i mean what is out there that make anyone think this team will be better.. im mean really?> whos our QB

Uhhh...so the best flight home to California from Auburn has him transferring in South Bend and staying overnight? He is in South Bend on Sunday night, Arik is enrolled at ND (according to Arik he is enrolled at ND, Cal & Auburn) and we never had a chance?

"Another rule change was the “Jeremiah Masoli rule” which allowed players who had at least one year of eligibility to play in the SEC. Under the new rule, players must have two years of eligibility to play in the SEC."

-From a July 5th article on fjsports.. dk how much credit they have, but I found this excerpt.. doesn't mean that the SEC will follow it anyway though, lol

Assuming anything in recruiting is always premature. Let's continue the prayers.

I'm guessing if Armond was going to Auburn, he wouldn't be going out of his way now to visit South Bend. He would've just stayed there.

every article I've read on it said it was going into effect October 2011.

I want to know how he could possibly go to Auburn.. wish Sapp or someone would explain this because it makes no sense to me.. a player has to have 2 years of eligibility in order to transfer into the SEC.. he has 1, therefore he shouldn't be able to..

My thoughts as well. At least, he wouldn't be coming to South Bend if his mind is made up for Auburn.

So what if Armond and his dad are at ND and waiting for Arik to join them tomorrow after he decides? Wouldn't they want to be home to take Arik to Cal if that was where he was going? And doesn't Armond basically have to decide where he is going tomorrow also since classes start Tuesday at ND and Auburn?
