Yep, and that doesn't happen often. Fans love to try to make the exception the rule. I hope they flip a few 5-star guys like last year, but the only 5-star that recently flipped is Darby from a ND commit to wide open. Let's wait and see, though. Lot of time left.

I'm still hoping in order of importance:
1. Flip Darby back and if not, pick up Yuri
2. Land both AAs
3. Land Fuller
4. Land Garnett
5. Pick up Yuri with Darby on board.

If we can do 2 of the 5, I'll be happy if they close it down, extend a few more 5th years, and load the open slots into 2013 since it's a small numbered class. Just my 2 cents.

I'm also confident in both the coaches and players to lock a few more down. Seems like we've already forgotten about Superman Diaco... I also think Tee is going into full court press.

i believe its been covered soenwhere that a school cant block a guy based on medical clearance issues.

if armond decides not to vist/come here...it has nothing to do with usc its by his choice alone.

i think for ND they have to be enrolled and in school taking classes no later than the 24th even though classes officially start on the 17th. i could be wrong but i think i have it right. so maybe arik and armond taking advantage of that "loophole" to check out auburn? who knows. would think if had genuine real interest this woull have been our weekend not auburns.

the real question is what is auburns rule? show up whenver you can make....or as soon as the check clears?

heres who i come up with as guys "we still have a shot with"
y'all can rank our chances as you see fit.
my own big board and types of chances i think we have:

Very Good: Wright, Ekanem
Good: Garnett, Neal, Standifer
Punchers: Darby, Poole, Howard, Fuller
Poor: Agholor, Armsteads (if no ND visit if they visit ND i put in the "very good")

and then theres the recruit out of left field possibility...

in my mind i think if we can pull in wright ekanem and neal i will be VERY IMPRESSED with this class.

and if you couldnt tell from all the all star games im not sweating kiel as he was a very good, not great QB in a DOWN YEAR for HS QBs.

If his mind is already made up then it is ND or Cal. Wouldn't decide on Auburn without ever going there. He might just be tagging along as Armond's +1.

No. Conventional wisdom is that no one knows. Got to let this whole thing play out, but it appears we'll be waiting a bit more than 4 days... more like 5 or 6. I haven't got a clue at this point... which is really saying something because I've gotten all of my info straight from the horse's mouth throughout this recruitment.

Last thing I'm going to say on this because I'm getting exhausted. USC can ABSOLUTELY 100% block someone from transferring... even a graduate. What isn't clear is what category exactly Armond falls into and what technicalities apply to him. All we know for a fact at this point is that Armond was going to visit ND but spent last weekend getting his transcripts and everything else together and sent off to ND... and then has opted to visit Auburn instead for this weekend. There is no one out there that can confirm anything else right now, but he had a hearing with USC a couple days ago to finalize some things and now he isn't visiting ND.

Quoting from an ISD mod about Armond's transfer destinations: "USC did block Armond from transferring to Pac-12 schools & initially, ND. They later backed off the ND block."

You have to think that there's a very strong chance that they "changed their mind" on backing off the ND block after Amir Carlisle, their up-and-coming star RB, decided to transfer to ND even though USC wouldn't release him to us... you can't afford to allow this to become a trend. "Not happy here? Transfer to our rival!" Anyways... what it boils down to is that no one has ears on the situation since the hearing. And stuff might have changed.. or stayed the same... and right now it's ND, Cal, or Auburn for these guys. So put our odds at 33% and sleep easy.
