Will Diaco change the way he plays defense with guys who are great in man coverage?

I may be wrong here, but logic tells me that if I have a guy with 4.31 speed you should probably think about more Cover 2 Man over Cover 2 Zone. It doesn't make sense to let a guy as fast as Darby sit in the flats all day.

Am I wrong?

I agree. Especially given the pressure our front seven should generate, the DBs won't typically have to cover for long.

Idk, I wouldn't put anything past Kiffy or Urban. I'm fairly guarded though, still recovering from recruiting roller coaster rides in years past.

Has he made any comments on the additional CB talent we're looking to bring in? I remember reading that he was hopeful for Kiel and Agholar, but I haven't seen anything specifically on Poole, Wright, or any other CBs.

I don't think he goes anywhere, but he's taking visits to be sure.

I'd say well over 90 percent committed. Other guys on here would know better though.

Oh for sure....Seen it a few times. But with this guy, our vocal recruiter, I would be floored if he went elsewhere.

Besides, he will step in day one and be competing for a starting CB spot.

I think Yuri gets a slight drop on 247. I think he is at #20 overall now. One 247 guy said he doesn't have the speed the #1 corner in the country needs.

Just talked to my friend that worked the Chesapeake Bowl. He was in awe by Darby's speed on KO returns hits the hole with a burst.
Also said he openly was very cocky and openly talked about being the best player in the country to his fellow teammates (who were his in-state rivals)... needlessness to say im very excited from this player and the attitude he will bring to the Irish D. Something that has been lacking for years.

If he can really "shut 'em down" at corner, AND "burn 'em up" on kick-offs --- well, that's honeybadger like stuff.
