I think if you give this kid Fuller a year or two of coaching he could be an absolute nightmare for the opposition.. for 2 to 3 years.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I didn't want to offend, just curious on the why.

We will see what happens. I think Fuller could be a really good QB. Obviously much different than Gunner, but a good one none the less.

I'll tell you, the one thing that ND hasn't had in the last few years is a QB with a rifle, with the exception of Dayne.

Rees struggles with long throws, as did Quinn and Clausen. The latter two benefited from having really good WR's that could win the jump ball and a coach that called a fade every other play.

I want Gunner #1, but I wouldn't cry over getting a superb athlete with a high ceiling. Gunner IMO is the obvious choice based on what we know now, but Fuller has a ton of potential not just at QB. I'll take athletes all day long and twice on Sunday. If we think we're going to compete with the SEC in a few years, speed and skill are a must.

And to clarify, not a shot at current commit's athletic ability, or BK's recruiting thus far... Should have also mentioned that BK has done a great job so far getting guys like Darby, Tee, George A, Lynch, Ishaq, Niklas, Golson, D. Daniels, etc.. I think Brown and Ferguson will also impress once they get coached out of the "rawness". Sooooo much upside to athletic ability.... We'll be SEC ready IMO in two more years.

I think there is a possiblity this is correct given that Gunner apparently said he was going to announce but had a change of heart and it didnt feel right in the gut (award presentation). BK could have been expecting him to be the aforementioned EE by the end of the week. When he didnt do it, the staff made a statement and moved on. Interesting stuff.

at least its something but more than likely we are reading into something that is not quite this clever.
