He wasn't ever the 'QB of the future' but he was the best we had from when Crist went down last year, throughout this year. He knew the full playbook. Even though he wasn't going to run, he made the throws he needed to in order to win ball games. He was good in the clutch, but then the opposing defenses figured out he couldn't run, and that's when he started turning the ball over.
Sorry you still have sour feelings over the guy, but he lead ND to wins against #14 Utah, USC for the first time in 9 years, Miami in the bowl, and #13 Michigan State in nearly perfect outings, and for that, I will be forever thankful for Tommy.
