Yeah, kinda hard not to appreciate someone who will dig into his pockets like that to pay a staffer. As long as it wasn't a player, even if it is a technical violation, I cannot be mad at him.

There are some rumors out there that he has put his contract negotiations on hold and that he is seriously considering PSU.

I personally don't believe these, but stories like this don't help the perception that he is happy with the UGA admin.

If doing the right thing is wrong, this guy is guilty as charged. In a conference where cash to players is king, this cat has had it figured out from the beginning. I applaud Mr. Richt and his rewarding staffers within the organization.
