I think I would rather have montana
I take Heaps or Pete Thomas.. Does anybody know why we haven't offer Pete?
not sure. quite frankly, it's a bit odd that very few big schools have offered Pete Thomas. He's a big tall pocket QB.
but his only west coast offer is ASU. his only other big school offer is Boston College. Maryland and Northwestern are his other offers.
I agree I think we should offer Pete. First two to commit is the ones we'll take. Maybe our staff just has him rated lower than the offered ones....That seems to be the case but I do think Pete could be an exceptional qb.
I agree I think Pete makes 5* status but I also think Heaps drops to a 4*. I think he is way overrated just from watching film and his size. I would still take both of these guys over Montana. ND should get the top 1-2 QB in 2010. If Montana is the only QB we get that is not good!
Heaps told the Dawgman.com crew that his final five, in no order, are BYU, California, Tennessee, Washington and LSU.
We are not getting Heaps...I am 90% certain about that given all that I have heard.
We need other QB targets.
Plans to announce his commitment tomarrow. BYU appears to be his destination.

Washington prep star Jake Heaps, who is rated by some recruiting Web sites as the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the country, has chosen BYU and will make the announcement Thursday afternoon, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.
A news release issued by a publicist on Wednesday noted that Heaps has made his college decision and will announce it Thursday, although the time and place was not finalized. A source said it would take place in Provo, possibly at a location near LaVell Edwards Stadium.
"Heaps anticipates releasing more information regarding time and place as it becomes available," said the release.
Heaps, who is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has been scheduled for months to attend BYU's annual Junior Day, which is Friday in Provo.
According to the release, Heaps had offers from 26 programs as of June 1. He recently narrowed his list of favorites to BYU, Washington, LSU, California and Tennessee.
BYU and Washington have been considered the front-runners for the past few weeks.
Heaps is 28-0 as a starter for Skyline High in Sammamish, Wash., leading his team to state championships as a sophomore and a junior.
Would be a good fitwonder if he ends up playing back near home for cutty Sark?
Wazzou with Mike Leach.
No I don't think that's a good fit. UW makes sense.Wazzou with Mike Leach.
Heaps is an LDS, so is Sark and they have a good relationship already.UW already has a good QB, don't they? Washington Stat would be and interesting place for him to end up, I think.
Edit: Yea, Washington already has Keith Price who looks very good as a sophomore.

Is Kiffin an LDS?
