I respect him but why would any big name school want a kid who couldn't start over Tommy Rees on a 8-4 team ? Just for record I do like him .
Because he did start over Rees. Two years in a row. One year he went out with an injury, the next, IMO BK made a mistake by pulling him after a bad half of the first game.
That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for a competitive team to want to pick him up.
Russell Wilson >>>> Dayne Crist
Wilson is better than Crist, but it's Wisconsin and they usually don't have great QBs. If they have an extra spot and a need at QB, a one-year commitment to Crist is not much of a risk.
IMO BK made a mistake by pulling him after a bad half of the first game.
How much of fall practice did you watch, compared to Brian Kelly?

The interwebs blowing up w/reports of Notre Dame QB Dayne Crist possibly transferring to Wisco as a grad student ala Russell Wilson.
Good luck Dayne. Maybe you can beat Michigan atleast once in your career.
I don't think they play next year.
Ok I have to ask this honestly .... What has this kid done here that merits you thinking he will to Stanford who is a top ten team this year ? . USF was one game and a five star talent that he is should have got his job back from a kid who cant throw the long ball well and cant run almost at all. He didn't one thing If there is one thing I know about Brian Kelly that if Dayne was such a great talent why would he have not have played him? I like Dayne but let's face it he isn't going to a big name school next year .
The same reason, QB's are held at a premium at every level. He is 6'5 with a canon arm, and can move pretty well.
Coaches see talent and think they can fix it. That is why Ryan Leaf got drafted over Manning, that is why Jamarcus was drooled over. That is why Crist will likely get a shot at an NFL roster. He has talent
False.
Manning was #1 overall
