I think he ends up at Wisconsin. Some recent twitter rumors have been indicating that this is a possibility.

I just heard from a football player on the team when I showed him the title of this thread "Wisconsin". FWIW

Would make it very easy to root for the badgers to roll the big whatever next year.

I feel like Wisconsin or Florida would be a great fit for Crist, but I do agree when he enters the game I get a sick feeling in my stomach that something will go wrong. With that said he has had some flashes of greatness (Michigan 2010). I wish him all the luck in the world. Seems like a great person.

Wherever Crist ends up, for he and the team to succeed they better have a dominant running game that doesn't depend on Crist to win the game. He neither has the athletic skill or the accuracy to have a team ride on his back.

I respect him but why would any big name school want a kid who couldn't start over Tommy Rees on a 8-4 team ? Just for record I do like him .

Because he did start over Rees. Two years in a row. One year he went out with an injury, the next, IMO BK made a mistake by pulling him after a bad half of the first game.

That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for a competitive team to want to pick him up.

Russell Wilson >>>> Dayne Crist

Wilson is better than Crist, but it's Wisconsin and they usually don't have great QBs. If they have an extra spot and a need at QB, a one-year commitment to Crist is not much of a risk.

They picked up Wilson not only because they had no one else, but because they were a QB away from being a B10 competitor. Russel was already a stud player that was being courted by a ton of teams. Crist is a guy with multiple serious knee injuries, poor play, and got beat out by a sophomore Tommy Rees on an 8 win Notre Dame team. He is not an heir apparent to Russell Wilson.

They are significantly different situations and I would be surprised if they were planning on bringing Crist in as an annointed starter (ala Wilson) vs putting him in a one season QB battle.

I've heard UCLA and Stanford from people who have talked to Crist, but it's really all speculation at this point. Can't really say anything until the season ends for sure and rumors really start to pick up.

I could, and would like to, see him at UCLA. That would work out well for him.

Hopefully UCLA gets a good coach, they need to take some of the southern California recruits away from Southern California.

Crist was injured during the Tulsa game.

Dayne had his surgery/rehab and fully competed for the starting job and WON it (as phork said) this season.

However, during the 16-0 first half of the USF game, which a lot of Dayne supporters (myself included) fail to remember....

He (Dayne) led them on a fast paced and great first drive, which obviously failed....

After that, he did nothing for the remaining 26 minutes of the first half.

BK had to do something to spark the offense, and putting TR was his decision, it could have been a lot worse

Would love for him to end up at UCLA...but I don't see it. They have their top 2 QB's from this year returning and a stud prospect (Hundley) that redshirted this year. Granted, neither Brehaut or Prince were consistent this year, but they both played well at times. I just don't see the Bruins wanting another QB for next year.

Stanford is a definite possibility.

Another team that nobody has mentioned yet is USC. If Barkley leaves, they have zero QB's behind him with any game experience thanks to Lame Kiffin leaving Barkley in to pad his stats in their blowouts. If Dayne transferred to USC, I would never forgive him!

Ok I have to ask this honestly .... What has this kid done here that merits you thinking he will to Stanford who is a top ten team this year ? . USF was one game and a five star talent that he is should have got his job back from a kid who cant throw the long ball well and cant run almost at all. He didn't one thing If there is one thing I know about Brian Kelly that if Dayne was such a great talent why would he have not have played him? I like Dayne but let's face it he isn't going to a big name school next year .

The interwebs blowing up w/reports of Notre Dame QB Dayne Crist possibly transferring to Wisco as a grad student ala Russell Wilson.

Found this randomly, probably nothing but I thought I'd share.

The same reason, QB's are held at a premium at every level. He is 6'5 with a canon arm, and can move pretty well.

Coaches see talent and think they can fix it. That is why Ryan Leaf got drafted over Manning, that is why Jamarcus was drooled over. That is why Crist will likely get a shot at an NFL roster. He has talent

False.

Manning was #1 overall

Good for him, he deserves it. Should be our QB right now, but (not to be captain cliche) that ship has sailed. I'd love to see him play for a great team.
