Who does a Notre Dame fan root for? OSU or UM

As a very avid ND from Northeast Ohio, I have a delema. The OSU UM game is on this weekend and I do not know who to root for due to my hatred for both teams. Before Rich Rod, Denard Robinson, and the last three years of heartbreaking defeats to scUM I would've rooted for scUM in a heartbeat, because of the hatred I have developed for OSU, but its harder to do this year. My hatred for OSU began in middle school when all of my friends made fun of me for being the only ND fan in the school and our mediocracy. Then when we lost to OSU in the Fiesta Bowl, I got made fun of even worst but still hung in there and wore my ND stuff to school and defended ND. Then the Urban Meyer news has made their head even bigger and seems to have unleashed a huge ego. So my story leads to this question. Should I root for a rival Michigan (no matter how bad it hurts) or should I root for OSU? Who do you guys think will win this game?

I don't know what you should do, but I'll be 100% behind OSU. I can't stand the fact that we were blowing UM out for 3 quarters, but then handed the game to them on a silver platter and now they might be going to the BCS. It also doesn't help that my best friend is a Michigan fan who thinks they are way better than they actually are.

Root for OSU, because scUM is not a top 15 team, plus Denard Robinson is the most irritating player I've ever ever seen play.

Thanks to Ty Willingham (and Monk) ND trails UM in the All-Time Winningest Percentage Battle. ND had led for more than half a century.

When this season started ND trailed by 3.5 games and now trails by 4.5.

I root for all ND's opponents to win when ND doesn't them, with the exception of UM.


Sorry Ohio residents, I empathize with your situation but the greater good of ND is the priority. Go Buckeyes! (And may you get annhilated in a bowl game you should decline for cheating.)

I'll be rooting hardcore for OSU. I'm absolutely ambivalent about them the rest of the year, but if scUM wins, they'll get a BCS bowl, and I think we can all agree that we don't want that to happen. With their luck, they'd get some crappy team like Houston and then we'd have to endure a whole off-season of listening to how great those ****s are.

Well it certainly seems like we're all in agreeance that what is best for ND is for OSU to win.

Well, it's hard to argue otherwise. Some people would say we should root for teams that beat us to win so that our schedule looks harder, but that really doesn't matter since, win or lose, we're bound for the Champs Sports Bowl. Also, scUM fans make it so easy to root against them.

I was just thinking about this very question this morning. To me, I can't root for either. I'm hating OSU right now b/c they are about to get Urban Liar, a coach their fans b!tched about as being a cheater for years but yet a man they are welcoming with open arms. On the other hand, I can't root for UM because, well, they are UM.

But in the end, I root for both to look absolutely sh!tty, and for OSU to pull out a 6-3 stinker...

I'll be rooting for 5 Denard picks but a 6-3 Michigan win.

I'd like to see them get humiliated in a BCS bowl.

I will never root for osu. Never ever ever! They are a dirty program and I despise their terrible fans! If that means rooting for um ok. On an unbias note. Um victory makes us look better.

That's easy! OSU all the way. First off, ND doesn't play them. It would look bad on ND if Brady Hoke made a BCS bowl in his first year.

I'd root for Michigan if I knew they'd have to play LSU or Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. But I don't know that and they could easily get to play an overrated Virginia Tech or someone like that... and I really don't want that.

So I'm rooting for Ohio State.

OSU because I would die seeing UM in a BCS game. Although it would be humorous to see them get curb stomped by elite competition.

OSU and it's not even close!!!

Harder pick for me would be between a Kiffin lead USC and UM. Even there I would pick USC.

Depends on where you live. I live in northwest ohio, know a lot of OSU fans, and will be rooting UM because of it.
