I am not sure about Heisman yet, but I sure think he can be an All American. He is on pace for just under 1200 yards this year which he will probably hit now that he is the feature back. Will a bigger, faster, quicker, stronger Wood next year have a Heisman contender type of season? If so what will his stats need to look like? Lets not forget, he has two more years of eligibility left too.

He would really have to improve alot to get in that list . He really improved this year I'll give him that we have tough schedule and he will have to shine in at least one those games . With floyd and Gray gone It's his team if he wants it.

That's fair. I wasn't saying he is an AA candidate in my original post, I was just asking what the boards opinion was on it with reasons backed up.

I think the lack of depth will actually be detrimental to his production next year.

This. Also, no Floyd means people can pay more attention to the run.

Furthermore, don't get me wrong-- 1,000 yard season is great. However, that puts him at 29th in the country. Not even close to the conversation.

I would have to say no. Unless one of the the young guys can fill Mike's shoes we are probably going to struggle in the passing game. The only proven threat we have will be Eifert. Not to mention floyd is probably the best blocking WR on the team.

Wisconsin's Montee Ball has 1466 yards and 25 TD's this year and isn't even being discussed in the Heisman talks. That should tell you the answer right there.

You have to remember what the Heisman has become. Its no longer the most outstanding player award. It stopped being that when ESPN got heavily involved. Its now the award for the best statistical performance on a a top 5 team. HUGE difference.

So, no, since we won't be a top 5 team next year, there's virtually no way he will be in the conversation.

I like Cierre, however i think the answer is No. IMO Cierre triies to bounce to many runs outside- it workds sometimes but most of the time it kills his momentum.

On a seperate note, I notice on most of his carries he gets up slow...like he is hurt. Then my hearts starts again when he goes back to the huddle.

He has definitely gotten a lot better this year. Waiting for him to stop running with talent and start running with passion. Then he could be great.

No way on the Heisman my opinion. Losing Floyd and his blocking is a big loss.

Unless it's a "dance" competition, there's no chance.

mabye all american candidate, but he's not the true featured back that will get enough touches to win a heisman...hopefully he rushes for 1500 yards and 20TD's
