Here's the schedule and spread for the teams that got votes in the last Coaches Poll. I included all teams that got votes as they're IN the Coaches Poll although not necessarily in the Top 25.

The Rank, Team, W/L, and Points are from the last Poll and This Week's Opponent and the Spread. Where this week's games have been decided I'll update the W/L to show the new record based on this week game. Note: VT is 10W-1 as they won Thursday night improving their record to 20-1. #20 USM is 9-2L having lost Thursday to 24 pt underdog UAB, 3-8. Depending on how they teams do that were ranked below them, USM should drop out of the Top 25.

I was just hoping you would start this thread. With USM losing and the possibility of Penn State, KSU, and one of UM/Nebraska losing we can move up the polls this week with a win. Maybe into top 20 with a dominating performance.

Edit: Baylor and Texas both in front on Media poll. Baylor plays OU. Texas plays Ksu.

The only underdogs this week, if I transferred the numbers correctly, are #16 NEB @ #18 UM, #17 KSU at #28 UTX, #21 PSU @ unranked OSU int the Top 25. In the Others Receiving Vote Category #27 BU is a big underdog hosting #5 OU, #30 RU is a 3 pt dog hosting #26 UC.

The only games expected to be close are NEB/UM, PSU/OSU, UC/RU, and Utah at WSU.

Southern Miss has already lost to 24 pt underdog UAB and will drop out of the Top 25. Another loss by PSU (@OSU) will drop them out of the Top 25. NEB @ UM is a match of 8-2 teams. ND should jump the loser but ND's at #25 so NEB would have to fall 9 slots. ND could move over #18 UM if they lost BUT as UM has a win over ND probably not. I'm rooting for the Huskers large. (ND started this season 3.5 games behind UM in the All-Time Winningest Percentage Ranking. Every lose for UM is ND's gain.) The only other likely loss in the Top 25 is KSU at UTX. Everybody else is a substantial favorite. This is a relatively weak week for Div 1 Football. There are 4 SEC teams with No Line as they play Div 1AA teams.

. IF Vegas is right and they lose while #28 ND wins, The Irish move into the Coaches Poll Top 25 as #19, #22, #24, and #25 would drop.

PSU may get thrown off the planet this week but 77-0 whipping to Nebraska isn't going to drop them 14 slots out of the polls. (The writers might delete PSU this week but the coaches won't).

MSU, SCA (the other USC), NEB, UC, UTX, and UM all are expected to have close games (-3.5 is the max spread). ND could use some help from Navy to overcome a 9 pt spread against USM.

ASU and FSU probably stay ahead of ND should they prevail. OSU shouldn't jump ND with a win over PU. UW with a win over USC would trump the Irish.

There could be a lot of movement in the poll from #12 down. ND could crack the teens. If MIA and A&M beat their higher ranked foes (FSU and KSU respectively) neither should jump a 7-3 ND as they both have 4 losses already.

I will not be continuously updating scores like I do the ND OPPONENTS Thread as there are too many games to follow. I intend on watching some. I'll try and update Final Scores periodically.

Let me know if you see any errors.

I put it together two nights ago but realized the odds would move and I'm not inclined to keep updating them. I updated the results through tonight and updated the spreads but I won't do it again. About a half dozen games move 0.5 up or down and 2 or 3 games move 1 point. I don't think there was any movement on the close games.

I prefer the AP Poll but it doesn't count in the BCS.

For sure. I'm thinking a win by around 25 and other teams loosing moves us from 25 to 19-22 range

We need a LOT of help to rise higher than 21.

Right now we'll climb over #20 USM and #23 WVU (IDLE) with a win. Say PSU, and either UM or NEB take us to 21. A KSU loss could take us to #20 but their then victor, UTX also with 3 losses would probably bounce ahead of ND. UTX is only 3 slot behind ND now. With a win over RU, a two loss Cincy could also bounce ahead in the ranking. The conference coaches are going to take care of their own if one of their one is close.

I added OSU, 6-4, as they're a possible to join the Top 25 with a win over PSU (and the Big 10 voters trying to keep a "Conference Slot". (Consider PSU has WIS next week and OSU has UM. Losses by UM to NEB and OSU, this week and next would dump them as well as PSU out of the Top 25.)

Some interesting on-goings early in the day regarding teams in the USA Today Top 25.

#14 South Carolina only leads The Citadel (a 4-6 FCS team) 20-13 at halftime. #15 Georgia trails Kentucky 10-6, though the Dawgs are at home and it's still early in that one.

Of course, an SEC team would never be punished for barely beating a below-average FCS team, so I couldn't see USC dropping far, if at all, unless they somehow lose. But a UGA loss would be an unexpected aid in the Irish's continuing rise in the polls (Are you watching, Keith Marshall?).

One of #16 Nebraska / #18 Michigan has to lose. #13 Wisconsin is losing to Illinois by 10 at the half.

RU is taking down Cincy 20-3 in the 4Q. UC is actually one slot behind ND in the poll but they are only a 2 loss team at the moment.

Down go #2 OKS, 4 ORE, 5 OU, 8 CL, 16 NEB, 20 USM, 22 FSU, 26 UC, and 28 UTX.
#24 WVU was Idle and probably drop as well.

ND will pass USM and FSU and might pass NEB but I doubt it with the same records.

However ND will definitely get jumped by #27 BU, and possibly by #29 UVA (winner over #22 FSU) and #30 RU (winner over #26 UC). Both tougher opponents than ND faced.

Three games are still in progress, #9 SU (winning), #35 BYU, and #36 ASU. An SU loss won't impact ND in Sunday's Poll. A BYU win would take them to 8-3 same as ND but ND had the tougher opponent. An ASU win would take them to 7-4.

Bottom line lot's of movement in Top 25 but I suspect ND only gets to #24 or #25.

The DOWN arrow head indicates the losers who will fall. The double UP arrow head indicates BU moves up a lot.

Based on our performance tonight, my guess is we move up a little, but not as much as if we would have had we dominated BC. #22-23 range.

I think so too.

UGA had a tough time against Duke who Sagarin rates comparably with BC. They should get passed by UM, KSU, and PSU and should be ranked behind ORE, OU, and CL who got their second loss today.

Here's the Final Results

Here's the Final Results

Considering the Spreads this was supposed to be an easy week with little movement in the polls. There were few key matchups. It turned out to be the worse Saturday for the Top 25 since the BCS started I saw on the crawler during one of the games.

I like the guy calling for ND at #19 here but can't see it happening unless Kelly (who doesn't have a vote) was the only voter. A lot of teams lost but way up at the top. ND needed more in the 15-25 range to lose to jump that high. That didn't happen and Baylor's win is going to jump them over a lot of teams. UVA and RU could also get enough traction to pass ND.

N.B. The DOWN arrow head indicate the LOSERS who will fall AND WVU who was IDLE and will fall accordingly. I only gave Baylor UP arrows (two of them) to signify a BIG jump for the win over OU. Everbody without an arrow head won and will rise where to take the spots of the losers.
