I had a hunch ND will lose, i'm not about to put money on it without pionts.
go f*ck yourself you D BAG

Well, you have proven that you are a troll, and while I gave you a chance after a quick vacation, you proved that you can't control yourself. The other member will be dealt with as well, but that is his first infraction while you are just a proven troll/idiot/loser/lowlife. Can't wait to see what handle you make up in your next trip here. Peace.

The defense played excellent in the 2nd half. But let's be honest here. If the team that showed up last night in Wake Forest shows up against Stanford and Florida State, the matchups aren't even close. They're blowouts.

Now, I've been supporting Tommy for a long time, and I like winning a lot, but for a guy whose best attributes are supposed to be accuracy and his knowledge of the game, this last game was pretty sub-par.

He just about got TJ killed with that crazy high ball, and we had no down field throwing game.

He is far from good, but he can usually manage the game well enough to win. This is why Crist is not in, he cannot manage the game. Rees was dry humping UM earlier this with his audibles out at the line, I thought we were in for a great year. That was until the 4 Quarter desperately crushed my dreams.

That is the optimism I like to hear. Notre Dame Blows them both out!!!

You mean the same FSU team that lost to Wake Forest?

What in the holy hell are you talking about?

#14 in the BCS standings. Not going to happen though, unless they beat Stanford, and considering how badly we got whipped by USC at home, I am not counting on it. Besides, we have to win against BC and Maryland first. And with the weak overall schedule for ND to have BCS dreams, they need to win against everyone. That is the disadvantage of being independent. 1-loss teams from BCS conferences will always get the benefit of the doubt over a team not in one.

10-3 would be nice, but I just don't think it is possible, unless the defense plays out of their mind for the last month, again. We will have to wait and see.

Why are people thinking that ND would play FSU? The bowls are not even set yet and ND was terrible again last night. They should have blown WF out of the water. That loss to USC (and MICH) are haunting the team right now.

I have never trusted Rees and I agree that he is far from good. We are just stuck with him, unfortunately. But in BK's offense, the QB is supposed to be a good triggerman for the attack and Rees is just barely average, at best. Without Floyd to throw to next year, if Rees is still the starter, ND's offense goes in the tank. Rees concentrates on him too much. On Eifert too. ND has a lot of offensive weapons and yet Rees does not take advantage of them all enough, to the point that just about every INT that he throws is because he is zeroing in on Floyd or Eifert more than anyone else, ignoring Jones et al. in the process. We need a real spread QB to run the offense the right way.

That and some good DBs. Of course, ND has not had a good pair of DBs since 2002, so I am not holding my breath.

Because now that ND is bowl eligible I am going to let you in on a little secret. The Champs Sports Bowl is going to be taking us as one of its selections, that much is true. The opponent remains up in the air but logical schools of thought would have it FSU. And who wouldn't want to see #1 vs #2 again... Errrr #29 vs #37.

How were they terrible last night?

Do you realize the D was without both senior starting DEs, Manti was playing on one leg and Wake really isn't that bad of a team?

The only thing I will say is Tommy's lack of ability to run and throw an accurate deep ball with velocity hurt's us from time to time. If he was just a bit faster he could occasionaly run outside the pocket and pick up that 3rd and 4 that sustains the drive. We saw the kid Price do it last night to us a few times.

Kelly got the lead and played to kill the clock and get the hell out of there with a win. No one played terrible.

Anything is possible, but I just think the Stanford offense will wear us down big time. The tight ends are going to be the difference. I don't trust someone like Motta or a linebacker to cover the tight ends. Also Luck is the smartest QB Diaco has ever coached against, and Luck could just pick apart the D with his mind (Like an X-Man!)

If the Irish can make their flashes of brilliance happen more consistently then ND can certainly give Stanford a run for the money. The offense can be explosive & the defense can shut people down. I'd hate to break out the cliches, but Notre Dame needs to play hard for all 4 quarters. They just can't lay off Stanford. It may sound weird, but the key to the game is to simultaneously give Stanford respect without giving them too much respect and risk playing too scared & conservative. Play to win, and not just to survive.

Haha this transitive nonsense needs to stop. I wish college football was that logical... I thought the D looked super flat out of the gate against WF. I know we had injuries later on, but I don't think WF is a real tough place to play, the stadium was quiet, and yet the D looked flat.

I think we can beat Stanford. The D needs to play like they did against MSU, especially Blanton and Smith. I also think TJ jones is going to explode in these last four games. Just a gut feeling. If we get back EJ, that will be a huge boost as well. I also saw USC running the ball super well against Stanford, and Jonas and Cierre are definitely capable of doing the same. I really think the team will begin their peak and will beat Stanford.

Love the optimism, but unless our LBs all of a sudden become good at coverage, Luck will eat their breakfast, lunch, dinner and 4th meal with his TEs. Also, Rees plays bad against good defenses and theirs will be the best he's faced. We'll be 'in it' the whole game but I'll predict a 10 point loss.
