Hold us back from what? We don't offer nearly enough resistance, generate enough pressure, or force enough turnovers defensively for us to be elite or even substantially better overall than we are now.

Rees doesnt play well but the dude is a gamer. Bash him all you want he doesn't ever throw up sexy numbers but dude is a gamer. 10-2 as a starter. Haters goin hate. Dude has won in Yankee Stadium, The Coliseum, Notre Dame Stadium, Heinz Field, Sun Bowl if it wasnt for a meltdown in the Big house. Rees gets it. You guys are unreal sometimes. 10-2 baby.

No, he is not 10-2. Notre Dame is 10-2. And sometimes that's DESPITE Tommy.

I don't care for the way we oversimplify things and gloss over the fact that this team has many other significant flaws. We're not merely a good quarterback away from being a national championship contending team, but that's basically how some people continually choose to portray it on this board.

While I think our defense can be VERY soft at times in between the 20's, only Alabama has allowed fewer red zone TD's than us. We might give up some yards, but when the other team is in the red zone, we pin our f*cking ears back.

We are a good QB away from being a BCS team...but not NC.

I think this team's inability to generate pressure on a consistent basis, their inability to contain quarterbacks once they leave the pocket, and their lack of speed outside and ability in space are all pretty glaring. Don't get me wrong, I think we get about as much out of the guys we do have as is humanly possible, but the talent's not there, particularly in the secondary, for us to be acting like it's championship worthy and being squandered by quarterback play.

You could hold the defense just as responsible for two of those three losses(Michigan and USC) as you could the quarterback play. We're also 10-2 in Rees's starts, which would be good enough for a BCS berth. That's why I don't buy it.

Being a fan of Wake Forest is the worse roller coaster ride in the world. Just when it looks like we'll win, it never fails... we will do something to ef it up.
Damn... did I call it?

Wow that game was a lot closer than what I thought it would be. I thought ND was gonna win by 2 TDs. Hm.

Let me guess. You are one of those who just looks at the name and not the team?

Also, that scoreboard picture you have in your signature reminds me of this...

BK: "I want winning to become a habit...We want to get to level where we expect to win each and every week. We're not there yet."

BK on if ND is Top 25 team: Separation from top 5-6 teams, at this time I'm not interested in if we're 25th or 24th ranked in the country.

BK on defense in 2nd half: "We went more nickel in 2nd half with Slaughter in for Prince."

BK: It wasn't that Prince didn't play well, they put him in space. WF skill guys may have been best collection we've seen all year.

Cave was walkng around after the injury, jogging, testing the ankle. It looked a little tender but I thought he would go back in, hopefully it's not too bad.

Golic did a good job, snaps were crisp and on target.
