What I'm wondering is, when did the players commit these infractions? It's only been a little over two days since the Florida game -- not much time to get in trouble -- and just seems fishy that they're depleting their backfield for ... New Mexico State.

Man, they'll really stoop to any level to show Marshall that they need him... :)

Could be something they did in the game? Or something last week that they were waiting to get all the facts stright before they acted on them.

Fact of the matter is we won't know what they did or when they did it (until or unless the media digs it up), but it does seem pretty lucky for the Bulldogs that this happens to fall on the week they play NMSU.

I don't think it's purely coincidence that they're suspended for NMSU and not a quality opponent.

The article says the drug tests were administered before the Florida game, but not sure when the results were known. Pretty ironic they know when the test was administered, but not when the results came back.

Georgia Bulldogs suspend 3 running backs ...

Georgia Bulldogs suspend 3 running backs ...

and the Vegas line drops by a FG to a mere 34 points.

If UGA suspends another 60 players this could turn into a game.

Crowell among suspended Georgia players - SEC Blog - ESPN

Chris Low, ESPN
11/1/11

...

The bigger question, though, revolves around Crowell.

He's without question a very talented player, but the jury remains out on whether or not he's mentally tough enough, mature enough or durable enough to ever be a great running back in this league.

It's obvious he wasn't in the kind of football shape he needed to be in when he reported to preseason camp, and he's also been knocked out of several games with various injuries. Now you've got the report of the failed drug test.

The skills are there, but the Bulldogs have to be wondering if they'll be able to count on Crowell long term.

Who says writers can't recruit?

Attention to RB as well:

Coaches are clearly having a hard time keeping kids on the straight and narrow. If you want a future and a degree, stay out of the SEC (I kid, I kid).
