Yea, I'm thinking the NCAA would not like that.
Irish Houstonian probably nailed it.

Do we have any "backup" prospects for OL this cycle if we miss on Peat, Banner, Garnett, etc. I know it's early, but as of right now, I'm not holding my breath on any of these guys. Seems like ND is on the outside looking in for most of them. Just curious.

Ronnie Stanley

Kyle Murphy ???

Jordan Diamond ???

Michael Flint ???I beleive we are in good shape with 4* prospect Ronnie StanleyDo we have any "backup" prospects for OL this cycle if we miss on Peat, Banner, Garnett, etc. I know it's early, but as of right now, I'm not holding my breath on any of these guys. Damn you!Ronnie Stanley
FWIW all the Texas boards and Burnt Orange Nation list Peat's Top 3 as Texas, FSU, USC. All were surprised Nebraska ddi not make the cut.
Yes that is correct. Nebraska will get a visit so we are fighting for the last slot.
Is Stanley elite?Staff will focus on getting 1 elite (Banner, Garnett, Peat, Theus, etc) OL. If no one pops, I'd expect them to grab a WR/RB with that spot.

Latest update says he will visit Nebraska, Notre Dame, Stanford, FSU, Florida, and Auburn before making his decision. Obviously one of those will have to be on his own dime.
Noticeably absent are USC and Texas, two of his supposed Top 3.

Also absent is scUM, who he claimed "set the bar high" on his visit.
Could it be that he already knows USC, TX, and UM are in the mix no matter what and he's visiting the listed six in order to narrow down further? He's already been to FSU for their spring game. He came to ND back in June. I'm assuming he's been to Nebraska before because of his brother. I'm not sure if he's been to UF and Auburn yet. Regardless, he's giving ND a second trip.
you got to clarify. I thought you meant he set an OV at ND for Stanford which confused the hell out of me
The headliner is offensive lineman Andrus Peat (Tempe, Ariz./Corona Del Sol), one of the nation's best at his position. Peat's older brother Todd plays at Nebraska; he wanted to attend Stanford but couldn't clear admissions. The Cardinal and Huskers are the two teams to beat right now.
