Did anyone see what happened at the end of the 49ers Lions game?

Schwartz got pretty heated at Harbaugh.

I don't know exactly what was said but they went to shake hands and mid field and afterwards Harbaugh screamed in excitement because it was a close game and apparently Schwatz didn't like it and ran up to Harbaugh like he was about fight. He started screaming, then they were seperated but Schwatz continued to chase after Harbaugh. From what I seen.

Looked kind of funny because it is not something you see every day in the NFL. A coach trying to fight another coach.

How can you call him a douche for celebrating after knocking of one of the two undefeated teams?

I love how Michigan fans act like Hoke wasn't their 3rd or 4th choice. Harbaugh was definitely 1, Les was next, then I think I remember hearing another name... Either way, Hoke was far from their first choice. It is so obnoxious that it is almost comical how ignorant those fans are.

Especially as he wasn't the one chasing the other coach and having to be restrained. Until somebody comes up with some audio showing Harbaugh made a crack at the handshake that clip makes Schwartz look like a sore loser.

I saw the initial "handshake" and had to rewind it again. Very disrespectful for a HEAD COACH to do that at the end of a game to another HC. Yes, you won...congrats...compose yourself for 4 seconds to shake the guys hand and say "good game". You don't go jumping up to him yelling..shake his hand slap him on the back as if it was a waste of your time to do that. Lost any respect I had for Jim.

Completely disagree. He wasn't jumping in Schwartz's face. He clearly had to take a left to get to him and gave him a handshake and slap on back. Nothing unprofessional. Schwartz pulled a Haley about it.

If that was BK, we'd all be complementing his swag and emotion for his team...

In all honesty, I don't have a problem with what Harbaugh did. He was excited and he showed it. He shook hands and let out a little yell. He wasn't showing anyone up. That was nothing compared to Mcdaniels post game antics after he beat the Patriots a couple years back. I like Harbaugh as a coach and I for one am GLAD he didn't go to the skunkbears.

From the first game of peewee players/coaches are taught to shake hands with the other team and be respectful win or loss. Schwartz did that. Harbaugh shouted in his face.

Be happy Harbaugh, go celebrate with your team (in the locker room). Just compose yourself for a few seconds to shake a man's hand. You arrogant ****.

Harbaugh trying to get under the skin...it worked. I personally don't like it....however that was by design. Have two coaches ever had a fight in middle of the field in the NFL? I cant think of one...

The only reason anyone on here cares about what happened is because Harbaugh played at Michigan and beat our asses while at Stanford. Call him a douche all you like. He's a hell of a coach. We're lucky he chose the 49ers and not UM.

.......No...I was watching the game and saw a thread about it so I put my 2 cents in. I don't care where he came from or what his past is I just disagree with how he handled himself and Schwartz had every right to question him and go after him....don't get walked over.

You don't think one coach shouting in another coach's face after a game is a douche like action?

Why would he try to get under his skin though? The game was over and they are in different divisions. They will meet once every ~5 years?

Harbaugh is a rookie NFL coach and was very excited, Schwartz was pissed about the loss......and if you think about it, even if he would have won, he's still in F'n Detroit...He should be pissed everyday. Both were in the wrong. Done.

He didn't shout in his face. He was pumped and yelled before they shook hands. He shook his hand and patted him on the back, maybe a little too hard, and the Lions coach got pissed because Jim was pumped. Who looks like more of a douche, the fired up coach who just won or the coach who lost and chased down the opposing head coach looking for a fight?
