I posted this in the Music Suggestion thread, but never got a response.

I recently got into listening to Dropkick Murphys (yeah, I know. I'm old.). I want to put some of their songs (about 30) on my MP3 player, but i don't want to add complete albums. What songs do you all think are the best ones to have? I also need suggestions for Flogging Molly and The Pogues. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I'm Shipping up to Boston is one of the greatest songs that have ever entered my ear canals.

I like pretty much all the Murphy's stuff, can't go wrong with it.

Saw them in concert couple of years ago, and they were fantastic! I actually reached out and touched Ken Casey's hair.

It was super-greasy! He gave me a look like "F*^# you aZZhole!" and then smiled!

HIGHLY recommend checking them out live if you ever get the chance.

Most artists intend for a person to listen to the album, and in the order that it is put in by them. I am just against it.

I would recommend you give Frightened Rabbit a try, specifically their album The Midnight Organ Fight. Their a Scottish indie band, and since you're apparently into Celtic Punk, it's close geographically hah

Some of us are on a very limited budget. We can't afford to buy anything we want, anytime we want. Plus, I don't see the point in buying entire albums for 3 or 4 songs.

Thanks for the tip on Frightened Rabbit. I'll check them out.

That's why you learn how to steal them. ;)
