Hey everyone! I originally posted this in another discussion and I think I put it in the wrong place, I'm just not getting as many replies as I'd like. So, as you can see I'm posting again! Anyways, I'm looking for two tickets to the USC game. I'm trying to surprise my boyfriend who's in the Army and is home for a little while in between traveling. Nothing special is coming up for him so I'm going to get him the tickets for MY birthday! I just want to give him what he deserves and show him that I appreciate everything he does for me and our country! So, I'm trying to find a decent price on tickets. I'd like the seats to be in the lower section and sideline if anyone has them(I know it's a long shot, but it's worth the shot!). I can pay through Paypal so both parties are insured. Please let me know if you have tickets!!! He's an amazing guy and I just want to give him something he's always wanted and show him how amazing he really is!
Thanks for reading and God Bless!

Wish I could help, but it's going to be rough going finding tickets to this one. I would try stubhub first off... I believe currently they have tickets starting at $264 a pop. Those will not be where you want to sit, but honestly you would be fine anywhere in the stadium in my opinion.

A big issue will be finding a place to stay. If you are driving in, your best bet is to get a hotel outside of South Bend, unless money isn't an issue... then try to get a hotel or house asap.

There's a few sites like RentLikeAChampion that occasionally have awesome deals, especially if you are in a group of people.

Face is $80 for the USC game. FYI.

Good luck on the tickets, I applaud your selflessness getting him the best gift, ever, on your bday. Night game at ND between USC and ND? Nothing better. If you two need a tailgate when you get in, me and about 10 of my undergrad roommates will be in town getting into all sorts of mischief.

If you find 3 and need someone to use the third, hit me up. I wouldn't mind being the third wheel for this game. Also, happy birthday!!!!

Tickets and hotel, you're looking at about 1,500-2,000 dollars alone for the weekend. That doesn't include gas, food, libations etc....

You might shoot for for something lower tier...

I have two USC tickets available, but they are not lower level sideline. And according to HCTI a realistic price would be face value...Also the price noted above for $264 a ticket is for singles only.

Thanks :) I'm bidding on some currently on eBay but I'm sure I'll be outbid soon. I wish money wasn't an issue but when isn't it! Ugh I'd love to hit the lottery! Thanks for the tips too, I'm planning on staying around 20 mins away or something like that bc our favorite hotel is near! And we can NEVER find that hotel when we travel! lol I'll for sure let you know if we need someone to hang with, we won't know anyone so it'd be nice to meet up with some fans!

I'm starting to see that sideline is way out of the question! But just getting tickets anywhere would be awesome! There's no way I can pay $264 per ticket unless we walk the whole way and pack a lunch! I'm looking at $500 for the whole trip. If it can't happen this year, I guess there's always next year and I'll just have to get on the ball sooner. I just kind of wanted to surprise him since he got another "mobilization" offer that he'll probably volunteer for and I don't know when we'd get this chance again.

$500 and staying within 20 minutes is not going to happen, I hate to say. And really, not even close, unless you are given tickets (and even then you still will most likely go over budget). If ND keeps winning, this game will be one of the hottest tix of the year. That means tix will be at a premium, and places to stay will be at a premium. Plus food and gas and drinks and all that good stuff.

Unless you get free tix and find someone who will put you guys up for very cheap, I'd aim for something lower. Good luck.

while we're on this train of thought, if anyone would like to give me some tickets free of charge for this game, it would be much appreciated.

worth a try.

I'll also throw this out there...

I was at the game this past weekend after not going to the first 2. Irish are 1-0 in games I have attended this year and 0-2 in games I haven't. Pretty easy to see that I need to get to the rest of the games. Thanks in advance for any tickets coming my way. :bbanana:

If people want to make sarcastic replies do it on someone else's thread. I'm trying to do something special for someone I love.

I don't think anyone is being sarcastic... Just realistic.

Welcome to the real world. Supply and demand. You're demand obviously isn't demanding enough to go to a game for 500 bucks out the door. Not gonna happen. Sorry.

How's about a guy that works with kids with Autism???? True story. ;)

It's very tame, actually. I don't know enough about autism to hazard a guess as to whether or not the kids would comprehend it. It SHOULD, however, be required reading for your wife/girlfriend(s)!

Well if you are in Ohio, you could always just make the drive to and from without staying in a hotel. How about going to another game like Navy the next weekend?

if you live in ohio like your profile says, it's actually pretty easy to get to and from south bend on gameday. it's only a 4-5 hour drive for me (i'm in NE ohio, so it's maybe a little shorter for me). whenever i go to games i leave saturday morning early and leave right after the game. it makes for an excruciatingly long day, but it's worth it and you save a good amount of money on hotel. there's still the gas, food, and obviously ticket fee, but not spending the night does make a difference.
