Last I checked, the Vegas line is still favoring ND, at Michigan, even after the horrid loss to USF. I tried to explain all of this to a guy I work with who is adamant that UM will win and wanted to bet on the game. So, aside for all the other reason, the Irish need to win this one. Not so much for the $, but just so I can rub it in his face all week long.

I think I'm being very optimistic when I say 24-21 ND. To be honest I'm not sure whether Rees will
Be able to handle Michigan or not. Our defense seems a lot better than last year, so hopefully they can shut down a balanced Michigan offensive attack. Also, as long as Ruffer doesn't miss anymore 30 yard field goals I'd like to think ND pulls it out in a classic

I'm feeler better and better about this one as the game approaches. After the USF loss I didn't think there was any way ND could come into this game and play well, but the more I think about it the more I realize that ND really is the better team here. They SHOULD win. Rees will provide exactly what we need out of our quarterback tonight. Wood will get it done on the ground and I think the Defense won't shut DR down, but they will contain him to an average game at best. As long as they can keep contain and force UM to air it out, I love our chances. I predict 3 INTs for the defense tonight!

I listened to an interview with ESPN's Todd McShay yesterday and he said after watching the South Florida game tape that Cierre Wood has to be one of the most overlooked players in the nation. He said ND will win, simply, because they have more talent.

I agree with NDOM brother, there is a difference in being Fair-Weathered and realistic. I would challenge you to give me, or NDOM for that matter, a case where one thinks we are going to walk into the Big House, first night game for UM, Rival Game, emotions tremendously high, Robinson is a stud, and the Irish just come out roses with a 2 or 3 point spread win??????

I just do not have a good feeling about this game. I expect it to be close as it has the last couple of years. I also expect ND to do something boneheaded to open the door for a UM win because that is what ND does. Yes we have superior talent, but how many times have we lost to inferior teams in the last few years?(i.e. USF)

The defense will play better and contain Robinson more than last year but I just don't think it will be enough. UM 31 ND 28

Believe me I LOVE Notre Dame and hope I am wrong about tonight, but until they show me otherwise I just can't be optimistic.

I have coached competitive sports for 9 years, been a referree for 10,.... I would really like to know what the difference is between someone who is a yelling coach and a passionate coach? Is it the age of the player???? When I don't yell, I'm not being passionate or forcefull enough; if I do yell, I am being too dramatic.... geez louiz....

ND's offense is far better then UM's defense, ND will move the ball at will. If they avoid shooting themselves, and make stupid unforced mistakes, they will win easily.

Denard is going to have his way? He'll get his no doubt, but is our edges just keep containment he won't cripple us this year. Our defense is far better then it was a year ago, 1 player will not beat us. Harrison Smith just has to be careful tackling midgets, you can't tackle smurfs by the head...its a penalty.
