I'm mainly a rhythm player and vocals kind of guy nowadays.
Hetfield and Straddlin were the biggest influences on my playing style...moreso Izzy...but I do love me some crunch when it is appropriate.

IMO Hendrix is pretty overrated. Real good blues player who just got messed up and got very creative.

I could search youtube but there could be some blues player that I've just never heard of and other people putting names out there gives me that chance to find them.
Just cuz you say your no prize doesn't bother me your a player I've never heard of something new.

Well...many a guitar player probably thinks as I do...it's just the nature of the game.

I prefer Stevie Ray Vaughan to Hendrix...Hendrix was his inspiration...I feel that he definitely surpassed him.

But if you would have asked Hendrix how he felt being the worlds greatest guitarist...he would direct you to go ask Rory Gallagher....and answered the question that way on more than one occasion.
